Re: Has Yamamoto ever said anything on the whole plagiarism thing?
This whole plagiarizing ordeal regarding Yamamoto and DB got me thinking. Was any of his non-DBZ tracks (be it as arranger or composer) ever revealed to be plagiarized? Or just the Z ones because that was what he was best known for?

Re: Why arent TFS VA's allowed to work with Funimation at all?
Is it online anywhere? Maybe Toei didnt like the voices? The original scene? It's on YouTube. Someone managed to capture it from the Xfinity airing before it was taken down. Also regarding TFS and Funi. I know they did some extras in One Piece, Ping Pong and Heavy Object, with Kaizer also voicing o...

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 100
Knowing that Dyspo would be a protagonist in this episode Antagonist. Hit was the protagonist. That depends of where you stand as a viewer. In terms of characters, Hitto is an assassin and Dyspo is a hero, but both are threats for the real protagonist (Goku and the U7 fighters). Just the fact guys ...

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 93
I want to know who did these shots in the first half.
http://i.imgur.com/q0hvKoZ.png http://i.imgur.com/LCokTAA.png http://i.imgur.com/ca0w4h5.png
Doubt we'll ever get an answer to that since TAP's animators tend to go uncredited unless its a PreCure episode. Not sure if these ...

Re: Will Toei/Pony Canyon do a Blu-ray release?
Was Q-Tec responsible for the redraws in Kai 1.0? I always thought that was probably Toei's Filipino studio's handiwork. It was, all Q-Tec handled was the transfer, noise reduction, color correction, and film cleanup, the redrawn scenes were handled by Toei Animation's Filipino branch TAP. Yeah, th...

Re: Will Toei/Pony Canyon do a Blu-ray release?
Would they though? Toei did do The Final Chapters in-house and I don't know if they've ever used Q-Tec outside of enlisting their animation subsidiary Graphinica on any other projects. Q-TEC handled the transfer and remastering of Kai's footage, so it wouldn't be unprecedented to use them. Plus, th...

I don't own any SH Figuarts either. But I know I want Shenron! But I feel I may be opening Pandora's box if I get Shenron, I know i'll want to add more figures. Yeah it'll happen. I bought Beerus just to have one/thought he was cool, now I'm eyeing so many more. Anyone know of more info on the Shen...

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 87
This episode was kinda ugly, but there were a couple of cool Tsuji Piccolo corrections and an ok (Higashide?) fight. That's Wanpack for you, they don't provide good work, just serviceable work. It's pretty obvious Toei's saving their better animators for the episodes to come, hence their lack of an...

Re: JPN Kai boo saga Blu Ray vs Funimation DBZ Blu Ray(Boo saga)
After seeing all of these comparison shots, especially with Ajay's explanation at the top of the thread, it leaves me wondering: why do these companies keep dicking around with the image so much? Why bother cropping it? Why bother with color "correction"? As you guys have stated, all they...

Probably the voice director.Cipher wrote:The acting behind his Vegeta is very good, as he was already a fairly seasoned veteran of voice-over work at the time, but I've never been a huge fan of the character voice he used. I wonder whose idea it was to take it that high and raspy.

Re: Ocean/Funi Dub vs Uncut Redub w/dub music
Bansho's got some valid points. Maybe it's just me, but I found Ocean had better casting in some areas than Funi (this is early DB dub material we're talking about here, of course). And even those who weren't well-cast at least had actors with experience behind them. This is noticeable when comparin...

Re: "Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters" FUNimation English Dub Official Announcement and Discussion Thread
Ignoring the TFS side of things, I feel bad for Nick, Curtis and Lawrence as actors. Nick is certainly an actor as proven by his past work for Funi and this is basically him losing a role and being replaced last minute. Some more recent voice actors in Funimations pool have come from not only inter...

Re: "Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters" FUNimation English Dub Official Announcement and Discussion Thread
^ I think the issue lies with them actually doing the same voices for the characters. That fact alone made it so that they were deliberately referencing a parody series. Except... those clearly were not the actual characters but people impersonating them in a movie. What, is that somehow not much o...

Re: "Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters" FUNimation English Dub Official Announcement and Discussion Thread
I agree with the others about preferring the original dialog. The TFS was nothing but a bunch of old, tired memes with little context for them. I say leave that stuff out of official products. Now, I'd prefer an actual, new take on the scene, but considering how late of a change this must have been...

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 72
I see, thanks. But don't you think they should completely outsource the filler instead of using important animators like Naoki Tate,Karasawa and Higashide for such episodes? It would help these guys concentrate on more important stuff. Outsourcing almost an entire cour would be a huge hassle, the ti...

If we're being completely honest, I always considered them Cyborgs. It's just that 'Android' is much easier to use.
