Re: Funimation's 30th anniversary collectible home video release
Not so much with Kai (aside from blurriness), but I honestly wouldn't be surprised if a casual fan would prefer the 30th anniversary set over the Level sets. The casual fan doesn't know any the background and fake grain and color correction. I would imagine that to the casual fan, they'd see a clea...

Re: Funimation's 30th anniversary collectible home video release
I know we're frustrated that we're not getting the master footage, but, what do you guys think of it as a product compared to the other home releases, without the context of Funi screwing us, etc? I did a comparison with this, the Funi singles and The Dragon Boxes with some friends watching along. M...

30th Anniversary sets or Dragon Boxes?
I've got the actual Dragon Boxes, but also a customized set, fused with the fan-remastered broadcast audio , which is my preferred way to watch the show. I've only just discovered the 30th Anniversary boxed sets and was wondering how they were compared to the ones mentioned above. I've heard about t...

Which version of Majin Vegeta's dialogue suits him better, and which do you prefer?
He says to Goku and Kaioshin, "Meaningless, huh? Spend most of your life ruled by another. Watch your race dwindle down to a handful, then tell me what has more meaning than your own strength? He's even saved my life as if I were a child and his debts must be paid." or "For this fooli...

Re: Ssj4's connection to the Saiyan tail.
But IMO the real question is: why Goku don't have a tail at the end of GT? They're Saiyans! They double and quadruple their power in just a few years, let alone one hundred years! He might have found a new form and even surpassed SSJ4 and probably never needed the tail anymore. Or, him 'merging' wi...

Is there any art out there of the Box Sets?
Are there any proper pictures of the art they used for stuff like, The Namek Conflict, Cell Games and Boo Saga DVD box sets?

The artwork is really great and I'd love to have them.

Does anybody know where I could get the original pictures for the Funimation VHS spine art?

Re: Super Episode 112 (22 October 2017)
Didn't much care for this episode. I don't like the way these Universe 6 Saiyans achieve SSJ1 and SSJ2 so easily. Goku, Gohan and Vegeta went through so much to get those transformations. Gohan went SSJ2 because he bottled up his anger for years and was afraid Cell was going to kill his mother along...

Could Ultimate Boo have suppressed his evil side?
So, we know that Pure Evil Boo turned semi-good after absorbing Supreme Kaioshin, but couldn't fully control his temper. Given how Ultimate Boo had a much more stable and clever mind, could he have suppressed his evil side, given the right sort of company? After all, he did have a whole lot of good ...

True, but he sounds like a goofy cowboy a lot of the time with that overly southern accent.

Re: How was your first experience with the FUNi dub like?
I remember some kids at my school thought the voice actors are on vacation or sick, so they will be back soon. You had some kids that was like "I'm pretty sure that they will be back soon guys. They are probably sick in bed and they hire new ones to fill in for them". I don't think anyone...

Re: But seriously, how did the Falcouner soundtrack even make it to air?
I find that to be pure BS. Just like adults, kids love a story that pulls them in. They don't need something playing for every single second. True. When I was a kid, some of my favourite OST music was from movies like Ben-Hur and others from that era. I also loved watching Mightor, Space Ghost and ...

Re: But seriously, how did the Falcouner soundtrack even make it to air?
It was needed at the time, because Funi's target audience was a lot younger than the ages most people/kids become Dragon Ball fans. Thus, fast trance-like fighting music was preferred to have been constantly playing in the background, instead of the more dramatic Kikuchi score, which needed one to ...

Non-Funi voices I like: -I think the guy that played Mr. Satan in Ocean was better than his Funi counterpart, because he actually sounded like a cheap, knockoff superhero, which is exactly what Mr. Satan is. -Peter Kelamis - I think he's the best English Goku -Brian Drummond's Vegeta -Scott McNeil'...

Re: But seriously, how did the Falcouner soundtrack even make it to air?
It has a few good tunes, but overall, it's quite terrible. It was needed at the time, because Funi's target audience was a lot younger than the ages most people/kids become Dragon Ball fans. Re: How was your first experience with the FUNi dub like?
The first time I saw the Funi dub was when the Ocean cast was replaced on the second coming of Dragon Ball Z on 'Z-Day'. It was really jarring at first, but I got used to it. That being said, I always preferred the JP version even back then, coz I had already seen a few episodes and movies by then.

Two DVD/VHS Cover scans (Request)
Does anyone have front and back scans for the single DVD of 'Earth's Last Hope' and the original DVD or VHS cover for 'Cell Games - Surrender'?
I'd be really grateful to anyone who could scan these for me.

Does Piccolo talk in a weird manner in JP?
I remember one of the old DVDs having him say to Raditz, "What say you?! Know you not whom you talk to?" , which later changed to, "What did you say? Do you know who you're talking to?" I don't know much Japanese or proper sentence structure, but I have noticed he might be speaki...

Re: How is this better than the Dragon Box? (Screenshots included)
The new Blu Rays have slightly improved footage from the Orange Bricks, right? Did they bother to correct the places where faces were cropped out?
How does it rate for an HD release, however; coz I like the Dragon Boxes and the 4:3 level sets, so should I buy these newer Blu-Rays?
