Re: The Good old days of Dragonball websites.
My personal favorite was always good ol' Planet Namek. They had basically everything a fledgling fan such as myself needed at the time. Between them and one of the Pojo magazines that had massive guides on both DB and GT (both of which were no-shows in the US at the time), as well as massive episod...

Re: Do you think Dragon Ball Evolution is the Worst Movie Ever?
Anyone who thinks Dragon Ball Evolution is the worst movie ever made hasn't seen "A Nymphoid Barbarian in Dinosaur Hell" or "Battlefield Earth".

Re: Toyotaro needs to be let go/fired
The amount of people who believe that Toyotaro is calling the shots and that there isn't a hierarchy of approvals, including original story developments and approvals from Toriyama himself, is too damn high!

Re: Can someone explain to me why Roshi vs Jiren is bad?
It's actually really simple The character who in the original manga was freaked out by the speed of Goku and Tien's fight in the 22nd BT https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-75wM8zzXpyw/VcXbFM1pyZI/AAAAAAAAYHU/oGBeq7oCX9Q/w1277-h463-no/6.jpg Can now suddenly dodge attacks from a character who is so f...

Re: Can someone explain to me why Roshi vs Jiren is bad?
I think some people in this thread are mistakenly believing that Roshi used UI when he did NOT. He used movements learned from martial arts through his training with Korin. Whis said that it shares similar principles but is a "far cry" from UI. Roshi isn't moving faster than Jiren to dodg...

Re: Screwattack's Top 10 Worst Dragon Ball Characters
Well it's Screwattack, so you can't expect much. I may be biased due to my love of Dragonball, but I firmly believe they have an severly limited understanding of the series.

Re: Jiren's Wish
I have a feeling the Manga will shed a little more light on this, so I'm not to concerned that we didn't get a resolution in the Anime. I'm curious too, but at the end of the day it's small potatoes for me.Asura wrote:

Re: So What Was the Point of the Tournament of Power Arc?
We're introduced to the first canon antagonist that is extremely powerful and isn't a villain. Except for, you know, Beerus. And probably others I'm forgetting. Beerus wasn't really in the same boat as Jiren, as Jiren was the "final boss" so to speak of an entire arc. Beerus' arc pales in...

Re: Jiren's Wish
I feel like you need to handle these things on a case by case basis. Sometimes, being pedantic about details is important, for example learning exactly who Black is necessary to provide pay-off to the mystery as well as properly set up his motivations. However, learning Jiren's wish isn't even remo...

Re: Which did it better, GT or Super?
Super blows GT out of the water in leaps and bounds. The storytelling in Super is overall so much better than GT, and you can take that to the bank. Jiren is such a different foe for DragonBall and it's quite refreshing in my opinion. He's not an evil villain yet he's the most powerful opponent tha...

Re: Which did it better, GT or Super?
Storytelling's something that most people would agree DBS executed poorly. For most of the tournament, Jiren stands still with his arms folded not doing or saying anything (although this probably had to do with Toriyama not making it clear what Jiren's character was supposed to be). It's not until ...

Re: Jiren's Wish
It's absolutely laughable at this point how bad Super's writing is. I can't believe they literally forgot about the antagonist's motivation for wanting to win the tournament. What was his wish? It was never revealed! It's kept a hush hush secret in both the manga and the anime, yet the anime is now...

Re: Will the SUPER Manga continue past the ToP arc?
I think his words can be looked at in more than one way : 1- The manga will continue adapting Toriyama's stories but change things up like what its been doing. 2- The manga will move ahead of the anime and movie after the TOP so we can get a glimps at what's to come once the anime returns. 3- The l...

Re: Will the SUPER Manga continue past the ToP arc?
Why did you make a separate topic for this? People came to a conclusion in the manga post. Why not? There is only one thread for the manga and all the replies makes it really cluttered. Because the answer is yes, and that's it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I wanted a separate discussion that I could keep up with. It's...

Will the SUPER Manga continue past the ToP arc?
Considering the comments by Toriyama and Toyotaro published on the DB-movie 20 website in the past few hours, http://www.kanzenshuu.com/2018/03/12/official-website-2018-dragon-ball-film-key-staff-visual-release-date-toriyama-comment/ It definitely sounds like Toyotaro could be continuing the Manga p...

Re: Jiren -such a huge disappointment
ANime wise, it feels like they really haven't done much with him until the end, which is a shame since how much they were building him up since the 2nd OP started. The manga though was smart and established who he is and get a sence of character. So while the anime is meh, there is hope for the man...

Re: Jiren -such a huge disappointment
Yeah, consistently bland IF SOMEONE ISN'T MAKING ME LAUGH THEY ARE BLAND. The logic of this culture today. People aren't the same. Everyone is different. Jiren is a straight to the point powerhouse. He is all business. I would list all of the reasons why Jiren is bland (not only because...
