Re: All-purpose Dragon Ball sale/trade thread.

Selling a History Of Dragon Ball Memorial Notebook set. Pretty unique item, and unused. It is primarily blank stationary, but contains some pretty neat and fun info/guide pages. Item is listed on ebay, and there are much more pictures available there. http://www.ebay.com/itm/History-Of-Dragon-Ball-M...

Re: Does anyone know the name of this track?

Glad you were able to figure it out, and the M-Number for the piece is M13. In fact, you can find this info in kenisu's BGM guide. In fact, you can ask these types of questions in kenisu's BGM guide thread, which is specifically for these types of questions!

Re: How to rip music from kai broadcast?

Well, by using Audacity and the appropriate plugins, you can generally perform any edits and modification that any other software can do. That being said, removing portions of audio from any mono or stereo audio track is going to be darn near impossible. At least...

Re: Members: How old are you?

I'm 21. Turned on 12/30 It's funny how time flies...I remember falling for the Dragon Ball AF prank like it was yesterday! ("Why would a guy eat his own shorts for the sake of a joke ?" ) haha, there's people falling for Hoshi being a series all over youtube. (really just scenes o...

Unreleased VGM Collections

So years ago there were several threads and several collaborative efforts to rip, compile and share the unreleased soundtracks for many of the older (and some of the newer) DB games. I know at the time many of the links went down (due to host/uploader changes, not legal issues), and I don't need to ...

Re: Lurkers?

I have become a major lurker of the site and the forum, especially in comparison to the level of participation I used to put forth in all of the interactive options. I still have so much love for the series (though I might have even more for the website, the staff, and this specific community) but o...

Re: Have you ever lost interest in the franchise?

I would say my interest is definitely not what it used to be, but the decline isn't as drastic as it may appear to certain people who have been around for all of my years where I was an extremely active member of all facets of the community. I was a teen at one point, and with the natural progressio...

Re: Want to identify a music cue from the anime? Go here!

It's always exciting to see more people tackling the unreleased BGM of the series! And you're doing a great job with the rips. I spent a lot of time touching up a lot of Mugiwalaarge's rips but it looks like you're just doing it better from scratch, so thank you! I should get around to making a mast...

I've always really wondered why that is. Always assumed it was an inside joke with the staff.

Re: Trailer BGM

Doubtful, but I cannot say for sure. You could check the released and unreleased VGM pieces from the console games of those years, but my bet is that this was exclusive to Bakuretsu Impact in terms of DB.

Re: JSAT Special, 5th Anniversary

Orange Hero is probably my favorite ending them in all of the franchise, and on the subject of music, this special is one of only a very few specials that have had their entire soundtrack released on CD ( documented at the bottom of kenisu3000 page ). It's neat, and a very complete facet of a featur...

Re: Want to identify a music cue from the anime? Go here!

One other thing I noticed: this is the cue titled To Be Continued , and in episode 046 during the scene "Chasing after Bulma in the helicopters" this different cue is played, but is documented as To Be Continued . Anyway, that's how I'm seeing it; and if so, do you know what the title to ...

Re: Beta designs/color schemes in theatrical programs

It is! After I posted that full scan I looked a little closer and noticed Broli's hair. Here are the other movie stills from that scan: http://i290.photobucket.com/albums/ll242/SSj_Rambo/th_011_zps4c91a3e1.jpg http://i290.photobucket.com/albums/ll242/SSj_Rambo/th_012_zpse61dc590.jpg http://i290.phot...

Re: Beta designs/color schemes in theatrical programs

I believe I found a similar case from Weekly Shonen Jump #31 of 1992 which had a fold out poster (this is from the back side). It's a frame from DBZ movie 8 and shows Broli's hair mis-colored (and I actually can't remember seeing this exact angle of this scene in the actual film). Thought it was wor...

Re: Any old Toriyama interviews still out there?

Going back to the part of the original post asking about any Dragon Ball related articles from old WSJ, I just came across an old folder with a number of scans I saved out of interest. There seems to be a comment from Akira Toriyama in this page. [WSJ 1992 #18] http://i290.photobucket.com/albums/ll2...

Re: Any old Toriyama interviews still out there?

⋅ An "exchange diary" with Chibi Maruko-chan author Momoko Sakura in her art book Momoko Sakura's Technicolor World in April 1995, with accompanying exchange illustrations, sort of a companion to her essay in one of the "Shenlong Times" pamphlets from the Daizenshuu . ...

Yes there is. ⋅ There's a 10 page interview in the Jump Comics Selection game guide to Daimao Fukhatsu (from the Famicom). ⋅ A two-pager in the Jump Hero Retsuden game guide. ⋅ A five page interview in an '81 issue of Asahi Weekly. ⋅ Two interviews in separate...

Re: Most Nostalgic DB Ads, Trailers, etc.

Even though I never really sat down and watched Dragon Ball during its runs on Toonami, I definitely saw all of the Toonami commercials, and those are my earliest memories of the series and my first exposure to it. I made a thread years ago about an amazing site that collected all of those ads, and ...
