Not Ocean. TOEI. But they REALLY wanted a kids network for it so as long as there is a willing Kidsnet it should be fine.

Re: Do you think the tournament filled with so many jobbers was a good idea?

In almost every ep of the TOP, someone is jobbing . It's like everyone is a jobber . The moment a character gets some spotlight, not counting Goku/Vegeta, you expect them to job in the next episode. For example Frost got a big ep torturing Roshi. What happens in the next ep? He jobs to Freeza. Kril...

NO! That could be too much. And people could start insulting and stuff. Its best that we just send our VERY POLITE AND KIND wishes on Twitter. And even then not too much because she could block us.

Re: Dragon Ball Super: TV Ratings Discussion Thread

If you yourself know the major popularity the show had online...why are you saying its getting cancelled? It, as you said, broke the internet because so many people online watched it.

Re: Dragon Ball Super: TV Ratings Discussion Thread

I'm really worried. While I do wish the One Piece anime to be cancelled so more time can be spent animating it properly with no hideous stretching there's also the possiblity that it could be a cancelled for good. Same for Super.

Re: Modern Dragon Ball sound design - Nozawa age denial?

Ikue Ohtani is the best castmember in Pokemon. Be sub or dub. She impressed me a lot with her performance on the Moltres Vs Fletchinder. And I think its more the incompetence of the modern Dragon Ball sound director than Nozawa's fault. That guy sucks at getting good performances out of No Rank Seiy...

Re: Torishima's Role in Putting the "Z" in DB

Now I might be REALLY mistaken, but Takao Koyama's take over COULD have happened sometime between the defeat of Piccolo Sr and the final martial arts tournament featured in the first dragon ball series because I DO feel a tone shift that is to follow up on DBZ. Also there's the possibility that Koya...

Re: I promise this isn't a hate thread, but why are so many DB fans so ignorant?

Because 1) it really is a very silly series, but more than that 2) it was marketed consciously to the lowest common-denominator in the usa, because Latin America also exists and isnt under Funimation's thumb (which is presumably what you're talking about). Sorry/not sorry. We might be looking at a ...

Re: The Latin American dub ALMOST had Kuririn and Kame Senin as official

Names that change somewhat from Japanese original in the Intertrack version: -(Son) Goku. Mostly only "Goku", even when the original is "Son-kun" or something. -Vegeta (with the pronounced "ge" as in "get") -Pikoro (with the soft R sound) -Pikoro Daimaku (mis...

Re: The Latin American dub ALMOST had Kuririn and Kame Senin as official

That Kame Sennin and Kuririn would have been the terms that the Latin American dub used to name the characters. While I do like Krillin and Master Roshi, if they had used the Japanese names the Latin American dub could have truly been the most accurate and true western dub.

Re: Did Dragon Ball REALLY need Funimation to thrive?

Yes, but so is Batman. Its a Saturday Morning Cartoon. Sure I do think there's heavy stuff that got past the radar but its still for children. Children wont go "Oh the humanity" if they see Batman TAS. Sure you didnt but its still kind of sad that you thought the cartoon was aimed at adult...

Re: Did Dragon Ball REALLY need Funimation to thrive?

I disagree with the Batman thing because when I was a kid, it felt like I was watching a show that was so not for me because it wasn't the usual stuff I was watching. Like, "Oh, jeez, I should probably change channels this is something my dad would watch". Maybe it was just me but I had a...
