Re: Hmmmm...Maybe We AREN'T The Only Dub That Replaced The M

Man, for this Korean version... it's like they really wanted to make their own completely new Japanese-style opening but only had footage from the show to use. They did a really good job picking clips and editing it, though. Usually when you make a new intro only using clips from the show itself, i...

Re: Has Dragon Ball ever made you do anything silly?

I've been talking to other rave promoters, and we're thinking a Dragonball themed rave would be fucking ace.

The Wedding Arc was absurdly fun.
The training before the 23rd Budokai was awesome because you got to see Mutaito, and there was that weird fucking conversation in the dub about a squirrel named Poppy.

I've always had my own theory on this. I'd always figured the DB Universe to be a story told from a grandfatherly-type to a child, and the reason Kaio has the narrators voice is because the narrator identifies with Kaio most, and wants to make the child laugh. That's why the MOVIE ANNOUNCER narrator...

Song from Dead Zone?

Can anyone help me out find the name of a song? It's the song that plays when Goku and Piccolo are rushing down Garlic Jr. I know that it contains parts of Makafushigi Adventure.

Thanks in advanced ^^

I'd like to see a special of Bulma and ChiChi forcing Goku and Vegeta to get an education. Think about it. It'd be awesome.

A division of the fandom's "preferences" should not take precedence over the proper treatment of the material itself. It's like if a handful of people wanted Gilbert Gottfried to voice Piccolo. They'd like it, but it'd be obnoxious, ridiculous, and all-around detrimental to the presentati...

Pokemon's dub is pretty solid. As is Funimation's One Piece, Yu Yu Hakusho, Odex's dub of Card Captor Sakura, and I know I'm missing plenty.

Re: Worst music in Dragon Ball (Poll like topic)

I don't think that's official it sounds like it's just the Catalan version sped up seeming as the lyrics are the same and it's the voice of Jordi Villa saying Bola De Drac GT. I don't know, I'm not too much focused on deatils about the Spain versions, but it's true that the vocals are un-natural an...

Destrega: A DBZ game without the license.

As a kid growing up in the mid 90s, I had fell in love with Dragon Ball Z through both syndication and Telemundo. I was attracted to the high-octane battles that I thought would translate wonderfully to the world of video games. Sadly, there was only the highly disappointing DBGT: Final Bout, which ...

Favorite non-original pieces of music?

I'm partial to Italy's house themes of Dragon Ball and What's My Destiny? Dragon Ball(coolest nonsensical name ever for DBZ) The theme they used for DB captures the feeling of the series perfectly, almost rivaling that of Makafushigi Adventure. It captures the intensity of the fights, and sense of w...

I thought GT was a jumbled mess of excellent ideas with horrible execution, plot holes, and bad character designs, but it has a couple of saving graces.

1 - The Theme Songs. Dan Dan Kokoro is so damn catchy.

2 - The Ending. I feel that it puts a nice close to the saga of Dragon Ball.

Oh god, Daizex, you're bringing back memories. When I was 8, I had a couple of older friends (around 12), that convinced me I was a Saiyan. One of them even got their *FUCKING BUFF STATE CHAMPION WRESTLER* elder brother, 17 years old, in on it. He "challenged" me to a "fight", an...

I am a big fan of the American soundtrack for "the History of Trunks". That movie is what got me into the band Dream Theater and was a heavy inspiration for drumming. 8) To this Day "Scenes from a Memory" is one of my favorite albums of all time. I don't really think that should...

If there's one thing I really like about GT, is that it drove the Kanzenban's point of "Dragonballs? Those are cool, but we've got some incredible people on earth, we'll rely on them first."
