Re: "Sparking! ZERO" Official Announcement & Pre-Release Discussion Thread
I was under the impression that the game wasn't releasing until 2025 at the earliest, Does the age rating really point to this not being the case? Namco Bandai does release a new mainline game every two years since 2016. 2024 makes sense given it fits the timeline of new releases. Also, 2024 is the...

The game has a rating updated from ESRB with a T rating. I guess the game is closer to release soon.

They probably had the rights to this before Toriyama died. Things like this was in the works for a while.capsulecorp wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2024 4:32 pm They couldn't even wait a month before Toriyama passed before selling the rights to a Dragon Ball theme park, to Saudi Arabia of all places? Disgusting.

Re: The All-Purpose "What-If " Thread
If the were no Android arc nor Goku having a Heart Virus disease after the death of Mecha Freeza and Cold, how things would unfold? Would Vegeta even defeat Goku and destroy the Earth? Would Piccolo still try to rule the world? Vegeta would fight Goku and still lose. I feel like Piccolo move on at ...

I always wish Trunks was in DBZ Movie 6. I would love to see Coola’s reaction when Trunks tells him that he’s the one that killed his brother and dad.

They probably had the theme park plan long before Toriyama died. I doubt they just came up with the idea on the last minute.

How stong would Piccolo be if he had his potential unleashed during the Namek saga?

Re: Akira Toriyama Passes Away.
Dragon Ball, Pokemon (despite being more of a gaming series), Studio Ghibli movies, Ghost in the Shell, Sailor Moon, Akira, Speed Racer, etc are probably the most well known and mainstream anime titles in NA. I feel like Dragon Ball is more popular than it was during its dead years in the states (20...

Re: Why did we never got a Dragon box reprint?
They were design to be a limited edition thing. Once they are gone, they are gone! The more "hardcore" side of the fandom is view more of a niche thing in Funimation's eyes. The people who got the brick sets won't care to buy the Dragon Boxes because they own the series to watch.

I won't mind seeing a retelling of the 28th Tenkachi Budokai as a way to end the series.

Re: Is Super on its way out?
It also might be risky invalidating GT's existence even more because things like Super Saiyan 4 are still a huge selling point. The story can go post EoZ and still be "before GT" since it happens a whole 5 years after EoZ. I doubt Super will go THAT far anytime soon  They probably wi...

Art and politics go together like peanut butter and jelly. Anyone who has study art history (like myself) would know this. A lot of people only see on what is on the surface level and not anything else. Like these examples https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/001/419/592/211.png https://i.ky...

Meanwhile, by contrast, Japan has a considerable degree of mutual animosity with China and Korea... and yet you don't see them making jabs about those places all the time whenever they You have people point it out in the sub-text in different Japanese media like in Attack on Titan. I remember readi...

So, it's not "keep politics outta here", it's actually "keep your politics, that do not match mine, outta here". Pretty much this. They are okay with right wing stuff because it's not too political to them. A movie about racism being bad towards black people is woke to them, but...

The Namek saga always felt like a message about colonization with the Nameks being killed off by Freeza. They only arrive to the Planet for Dragon Balls.

I remember the 1996-1998 dub episodes was still airing on Toonami in the early 00s when I was first getting into DB.
