Re: Dragon Ball and "Feminism"

Well, understanding that requires you to understand history...and Islamic history is rather fascinating. When it was conceived, it was considerably more progressive than Christianity at the time. In fact, it was practically made to be seen as a better alternative for as many people as possible. Isl...

You're right, but as we see, mentioned books are often the main reason of violence.

Re: Dragon Ball and "Feminism"

I don't know how this discussion drifted to Islam, but let me just say this: Religious people who are generally good will use the good things in their holy books to justify their actions, and do their best to ignore the bad things. Religious people who are generally bad will use the bad things in t...

Re: Dragon Ball and "Feminism"

What I wanted to say was that Nazis were the people, not an ideology floating in the air, their nationality was German (and Austrian), and that there were some serious and complicated reasons, why they did what they did. I can only quote Albert Einstein (my emphasis): If you can't explain it simply,...

Re: A question to the white subbies (don't worry it's not what you think)

Unfortunately for you it's all in this thread and literally everyone can see that you're the only source of the insults directed towards yourself (and other people posting in the topic). This is getting just ridiculous. So let them read it and decide what to do. I told you, that I am not interested...

Re: Dragon Ball and "Feminism"

While some Germans voted for Hitler, they never elected him. Hitler was appointed chancellor by Hindenburg, and succeeded him after his death. NSDAP was elected by the people. It was supported by the people. As for Warner, the man has no historical, religious, or political science credentials, does...

Re: A question to the white subbies (don't worry it's not what you think)

No one was insulting you, cursing or was aggresive towards you. You're the only person in this thread who does all of this and if that wasn't enough you're putting words in other people's mouth trying to... insult yourself. On top of that, your justification for this is a claim that someone somewhe...

Re: Dragon Ball and "Feminism"

Where is "demonizing entire religion"? If you look real closely you'll see it...... I think the concept of a "moderate Muslim" is ludicrous, it's like claiming you're a Nazi but you don't think the Jews are all that bad. Why are you aligning yourself with a negative ideology if ...

You do realize there's a ton of people from Poland, Hungary, Czech, Slovakia etc posting on these forums and not just you right? So don't speak for us, especially nonsense like this People educated in post-Soviet bloc DO have different approach to the matter, at least according to democratic counti...

Re: A question to the white subbies (don't worry it's not what you think)

I'm sorry, but equating modern liberalism with communism makes absolutely no sense. I don't see liberals forcing everyone to forgo their identity so they can be indoctrinated by a party or thinking that getting rid of democracy is a good idea. Make no mistake, I strongly disapprove of neoliberalism...

Re: Dragon Ball and "Feminism"

Demonizing an entire religion based on the acts of some reckless individuals is not acceptable. I mean, I'm anti-religion personally but I don't think all religious people are terrible simply because of what they believe. Saying all Muslims are terrorists because of ISIS is like saying every Christ...

Re: A question to the white subbies (don't worry it's not what you think)

Soviets were the polar opposite of liberals, who are primarily concerned with individual liberty and thus small government and economic and social freedom. We are still calling free market advocates/libertarians/conservatives “liberals” here (more exact: classic liberals), but in America, this word...

Re: How ofter do you reread and/or rewatch the series.

I attempted to rewatch the series around 2011 and stopped at DBZ episode 34, when they cancelled the Levels. I will continue watching it after receiving my 4:3 perfect remaster Blu-rays 8) Last time I've read the manga was ~2005. I am 100% focused on Dragon Ball projects now and I don't have even a ...

Re: A question to the white subbies (don't worry it's not what you think)

Liberalism is about killing the rich. This actually happened during the Bolshevik revolution and later on in Soviet Union. Do we know any other situations, where other radical stances you mentioned were applied on mass scale in the 20th-21st century? (I have no idea how to write what I mean using p...

I don't want DB in any television! We need to make Toei do new film transfers and broadcast audio sync - then we can talk about TV broadcasts.

Re: When will FUNimation re-release dbz again?

I don't think that there is a reason to release Dragon Ball Z again. The market is saturated. Fans are happy with current releases. Even if they would decide to release the series in the future, we shouldn't expect anything different than what we have on Blu-ray now. Nobody wants anything different....

Re: Dragon Ball and "Feminism"

You need to understand that the standards of what is acceptable in society evolve over time. If you read comic books from 50 years ago, you'll find tons of racial stereotypes, objectification of women, offensive language (such as the word 'negro',) etc. That was considered appropriate back then, an...

Re: Dragon Ball and "Feminism"

What exactly do you mean by "getting the franchise into the 21st century"? He means treating women like people, I'm pretty sure. Don't forget that if “getting something into the 21st century” means treating women like people, it suggest that they weren't treated like people in 20th or 19t...

Re: Dragon Ball and "Feminism"

Again, it seems that I miss wrote some of my responses in previous post. I will correct them here: Remember when the Nazis and other oppressive state regimes trampled citizens' rights by congratulating popular media for including more positive portrayals of women? “By the way, let's not allow oursel...
