Re: What is the current Dragon Ball chronology?

According to DBS Broly, the earliest scenes took place 41 years ago, as you say and the next part took place 5 years later. At the end of the Kakarot flashback we get a counter that starts at Age 737(thus the earliest part was in 732) and fades out at 775, so like I said in the movie thread, the mat...

Re: Non-thread-worthy discussions

Dragonball in general (especially the original manga) was never consistent with character heights, especially with Vegeta. In some scenes he's shorter than Bulma, then in other ones he's a head taller than her and near Goku's height. He's been taller than Bulma throughout Super, so that seems to be...

I could give you 30 years worth of data saying otherwise Daizenshuu for example, see the numbering? https://i.imgur.com/Lcr8BCA.jpg And how deliberately high the exoskeleton starts so that it'd get covered by the armor https://i.imgur.com/nURvjE7.jpg Also, the whole wrinkle thing, his legs and tail...

Re: Official On-Going Dragon Ball Super Movie Thread: "Broly"

• The AGES that suddenly appears on-screen are exactly what one could expect, merely just AGES appearing on-screen. Nothing more than that. It's so random that really its only purpose is just to tell audience that time has passed. No real meaning here. But on the other hand... • ... 41 years ago? A...

Re: Non-thread-worthy discussions

They're visible only when the armor is removed, as was in the original series. Or are you saying he has another extra form with lines on arms and no exoskeleton. I'm saying like Shaddy that it seems like he only gets the exoskeleton as part of his transformation to second form. The lines I interpre...

Re: Non-thread-worthy discussions

The lines on his arms indicate that he already has the exoskeleton form when wearing the armor in the movie (5 years after Freeza is introduced to planet Vegeta), not just when he broke the armor off in Z. The pink form doesn't have arm lines, means he transformed during those 5 years. There are al...

See answer by Shaddy.

The source of Broly's strength should come from the fact that in 40 years of existence he hasn't spread his seed and has only eaten monsters and lived on an inhospitable planet.

Re: Was Roshi ever pure of heart?

I'd imagine his regression to old habits would therefore be a result of him retiring from martial arts. I agree. Straying from the path of a martial artist, which requires focus and discipline and a lot of hard work to then retire and just watch tv and have fun, it makes good sense, that he would l...

Re: Non-thread-worthy discussions

Freeza's new design in first form without armor demonstrates, that it's a good idea to first esign a naked version of your humanoid alien character just so you and your collaborators know. I'm reminded of First Form Freeza being naked in the storyboards, when emerging from the healing tank in RoF, b...

Re: Was Roshi ever pure of heart?

When Roshi gives Kintoun to Goku, both he and the turtle were surprised, when he couldn't sit on it. So he is definitely implied to have been worthy of the cloud before.

Re: Interesting or funny pictures thread

Who do you think do have asiatic features in the cast? Hmmm Chi Chi, Tien, Chiaotzu, Roshi, Krillin (maybe), Yamcha, Gohan, Ox King, Crane Hermit, Tao Pai Pai, Mai. There are a few others but these are the ones I could think of off the top of my head. Not Freeza? In any case since you don't seem to...

This one was drawn by a marvel comic book artist I think by the name of Gerald Parel. I like how Broly doesn't seem to have any Asiatic features. As it broadens the ethnicity of the cast.

Re: Was a statement just put out that SSJ3 Goku = Boohan!?

Promotional material can’t be considered? I’m sure it’s worth more than arguments on here. It's worth roughly nothing. Agreed. I could never take unbacked statements like this seriously, when it comes from a faceless goon, who might as well have put their own ideas into it, because I really don't e...

Re: Was Cell's core really a plothole?

It seems to be taken as a plothole because he gets his upper half blown up by Goku and then still regenerates even though it's supposed to be inside his head, but the thing is, when we learn about his core, it's after his entire body detonates, so how can it really be? We are clearly shown that the...

Re: Is Rildo stronger than Buuhan?

Just saying. Does SSJ Vegito have to be weaker than Super Baby Vegeta 1? Goku said it was the biggest ki he has ever felt. However, he must have been referring to someone other than him. It's like in the Janemba movie. Goku said Fat Janemba was the strongest ki he has ever felt (higher than Fat Buu...

So he basically is able to forcefully take the ki from living beings like an evil Genkidama?
Sounds like he's gonna be a tough guy to deal with.
I'm excited by where this is going :D
