Re: "Dragon Ball Super" FUNimation Dub Official Discussion Thread

This dub is such a joke. What year is it?! These types of ridiculous decisions just keep piling up. It's the 90s all over again.

It's incredibly frustrating to know that we're back to a point where I'm not even discussing the same show with someone who watched it dubbed.

It was Studio Guts. I'd be doing dances if the Bones regulars worked on this film!

I'll add it now. Not too interested in documenting the CG side of things really, though.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super: Broly" - Animation Hub

I mean, by just sharing those yamamuro sheets you just confirmed that this is closer to boo arc designs than ever that was a perfected version of cell designs. The main thing here is that, not Takahashi, I just pointed him out since he's the only who was retrieving those older designs to modern era...

No, because as has been explained several times, these designs were done long before Takahashi was even a thing.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super: Broly" - Animation Hub

A comment completely out of context, bravo   Let me ask you something: did we get curved eyes on Yamamuro designs (for instance) based on the expression? How was that at all out of context? Cutting a quote chain is basic forum practise. And modern Yamamuro? No, of course not. His rigid ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super: Broly" - Animation Hub

Curved eyes instead of a straight line, less pointy nose and again, a curve defines the shape instead of a straight line, same with the eyebrows in SSJ it looked more like DBS, no curvature at all, SSB is more like we saw it on DBZ (and here I say DBZ because this feature is shared between all arcs...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super: Broly" - Animation Hub

I see absolutely no significant changes between the Super Saiyan design sheets and what's presented on the poster. They're just pulling an intense expression...? https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/358654838403366922/466957444552327169/unknown.png https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/3586548384...

Mindlessly praising poor approaches isn't very beneficial. It's not about putting people down, it's about ensuring nobody's going in the wrong direction.

Nope, he's actually quite young considering the positions he holds on various franchises.

He's in his mid-thirties, so he grew up watching the show.

That's interesting... and a little weird that he said that. I wonder if that's the truth or if he's just playing into that common comparison/misconception. Zack Snyder mentioned in a Japanese interview that the film's scenes weren't inspired by Dragon Ball Z, but rather Birdy the Mighty Decode (one ...

Taking someone else's work, tracing the fundamentals of it, and then profiting off of it with no credit is pretty much the big issue for me. Yeah, but...that's just the fundamentals . Just about everything is derivitative of something , in one way or another. It's like the old adage goes... Pablo P...
