Being a newcomer to these forums, I stumbled upon Mr Announcer Guy's stuff only a week or so ago, and I have to say her drawings are gorgeous, after seeing so many pieces of fan art that while they are well drawn, have very little character and emotion, it's nice to see someone who captures the char...

Overall, I like it. I just think you should lay off the cloud overlay as it detracts from the great artwork, and drop shadows don't really work well on that kind of background. I like the layout, I just think all the little flourishes you've added kind of make it look incongruous with the film itsel...

Wow... What impressed me the most is the DragonBoxes' audio quality. There's quite a difference! Makes me sad that the upcoming Blu-ray releases from FUNi are probably going to sound as bad as their DVDs. My goodness you're right!, I was so intent on soaking in the quality of the visuals that I did...

That was great, thanks for uploading :), I've finally been able to see the Dragonboxes in motion The colours are gorgeous, I didn't bother downloading the Funi comparisons, as I'm already familiar with how they look, I was pretty convinced by the screen shots posted in other threads, but after viewi...

I didn't like it.

All you really did was a bunch of cuts from episode #55 of Dbgt (the flashback episode) and pick a rather un-original song.

But then again I only made it halfway through, so my opinion probably isn't worth anything.

The wider the screen, the easier it is to do more drastic angles with the extra space. My whole point was, this isn't actually done much more often than you think, shooting in 16:9 but framing in 4:3 safe ensures that the most "drastic" angle you will get is a wide shot with all of the characters/t...

I hate the moronic assumption that 16:9 is more cinematic. There is nothing more cinematic about an aspect ratio, it's up to the director, the cinematographer, the people making the film to ensure when they film in widescreen, they actually use it to it's fullest. Not to mention that as HD becomes t...

Recently one of the Re-dub lines made me laugh. As Chaouzu is on Nappa's back about to self destruct, Gohan turns away, only to hear Piccolo yell "Don't look away Gohan!, HONOR HIS BRAVERY" I found it hilarious, just how horrible and ham-fisted the delivery was, the re-dub seemed intent to make Picc...

I think every Dbz fan has tried that at least once.

And in my case, twice.

My local comics/anime store didn't have a copy in, so I've placed an order for the first box :D

And to tide me over, I picked myself up a copy of Path to power, which I am going to watch in mere minutes :p

I've seen very little of Dragonball, and I'm thinking about putting some money down on these tomorrow.

I guess my question is, are they worth it?

As a fan of Dbz, it's always bugged me that I've been unable to collect the entire series on dvd, I blew money on edited dub only singles, then I paid $100 for the Ultimate Uncut box set. What annoys me the most is that I know where I can find the episodes on the internet, but I chose to show my sup...

You know what's sad? No one's taking any good shots from the set, they're only taking the shots with split-second glitches. But guess that's because no one would actually bother to compare something that would be non-slanderous toward the season set and does nothing but make it look terrible! God f...

I enjoy Naruto, Bleach, One Piece and Dbz. All of them have their flaws, to me it's how much I enjoy each of them overall, they each have their own little twist on the typical shonen formula, and thats what keeps me watching. Some people take things too seriously, they condemn things for a lack of o...

While no offense is meant, you haven't seen anything . I'll happily send you a sampler disc with some clips directly taken from the DragonBox, back-to-back with FUNi clips. I'll also throw in test patterns and tell you how to calibrate your television to (close to) reference levels. THEN, you can r...

What I have noticed is the difference in packaging, it's now in a hard plastic case and the discs are no longer stacked on top of each other, not to mention the 4:3 shots on the box and in the book are now 16:9 (not sure if they were cropped or just stretched) , and the spine no longer forms part o...

I'm pretty sure I didn't laugh or feel emotionally stirred even once throughout the experience, and frankly the designs were awful, A-W-F-U-L. What about the ending?, I thought that was the only part of GT that lived up to (In my opinion, actually surpassed) it's predecessor, I thought Z had an inc...

Don't forget the defecation, I hear thats crucial to the "remastering" process.
Still, if it's all that's on offer, It will have to do.

For the large part, I enjoyed GT. Sure there were plotholes galore, but amidst the crap there were some genuinely good Ideas (I liked the whole Tsufu-jin Saiya-jin history) but they all suffered from poor execution. I think the series had more consistent animation (possibly because it was shorter) a...
