Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Bang Zoom Dub Official Discussion Thread
First of all, Bang Zoom needs a better scriptwriter. What's with all the rasp on the narrator all of a sudden? Mai sounds like Nadolny, Shuu sounds good, Pilaf sounds like Funi. Lee's Bulma and McConnohie's Kaio still rock. Goten and Trunks still sound good. Krillin is okay. Android 18 and Chi-Chi a...

At this point, I don't think there's enough people that will truly care about another dub of Kai.

Re: Great Performances from English Dragon Ball dub actors on other anime
I n general, dubs tend to have much more solid casting & performances throughout, that one doesnt have to cherrypick for decent castings, like we have had to do with DB . Shame DB's dub gets all the love. Anyway, If it's just FUNi VAs...I have problems w/FUNi's general execution of dubs, but......

Re: Favorite Non-FUNi English Voices?
I really admire Peter Kelamis. His has this....really genuine, man-child & grounded voice acting resembling Nozawa Just watched Ep 276: Where is the exit?! Escape frm collapsing Buu body & found his performance to be borderline amazing. Truly a stark contrast to Sean's Supermanish portrayal...

I'm genuinely delighted to hear that. I havent heard much from her! She has played Lucrezia Noin in Gundam Wing, Light Yagami's mother in Death Note, Kagome's little brother and fellow school colleague in Inuyasha, the Black Widow and Ma Gnucci in The Punisher video game. Pretty good actress and ve...

Re: Was there a place for Yamcha & Chiaotzu in Resurrection 'F' (Dragon Ball Z/Super)?
I'd like to have seen them battling Frieza's army, but I don't think Toriyama would have done such a thing, since he thinks Yamcha is just a joke character.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Bang Zoom Dub Official Discussion Thread
Good god, when I first heard Goku, Buu and Satan, all I thought is that this dub was gonna be an imitation of Funimation's dub. With some exceptions, I was right. Is really hard for the actors of Vegeta, Piccolo and Yamcha to come up with different takes instead of just doing Sabat impressions? I me...

Re: Does a Lack of Regional Dubs Bother You?
There is another possibility. The Fuck-a-licious filled dubs from Manga UK that had British people dub Japanese characters filled with FUCK AND PISS dialogue. With that I mean they say FUCK DAMN FUCKING FUCKERS every five seconds. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVpwJbLLivU The British love to swea...

Re: Does a Lack of Regional Dubs Bother You?
I really don't what the point would be. I mean, the accents of the characters are a factor in my enjoyment for any dub but the performance of the voice actor themselves is what truly matters and how it fit the character their respresenting. I mean, hearing Beerus speak like a Londoner would kind of...

Dragon Ball Super Episode 3 Notes: Script- To quote the great Echoes Act 3, "S-H-I-T". This translation team is too literal, and they need to learn to use commas. In fact, while I still don't think Lex is the right choice after hearing him today, I'd like to apologize that THIS is what sc...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Bang Zoom Dub Official Discussion Thread
Welcome to the forum, Erika! Love your voice for Videl. Ok, so I'm going to pose another question. Who could you all see as being Future Trunks' VA? Personally, I feel like Max Mittleman would be a great fit. I'm not sure if he is Union-only, but if he isn't I'd place money on him. I could see Ben D...

Re: Does a Lack of Regional Dubs Bother You?
Its kind of ironic that Canadian voice actors ARE the ones making dubs for American cartoons most of the time. So this is already foreign voices. As for FUNI, weren't most of the voice actors from Texas originally? I know Sean Schemmel moved to California over the years. They don't do dubs for Amer...

Re: Does a Lack of Regional Dubs Bother You?
Actually, the X-Men and SIlver Surfer shows had Canadian voice actors, although there were a few Americans in those casts. Tara Strong was in it (Canadian at the time), & also Richard Epcar who worked with Saban on PR/dubbing projects, was in it as well IIRC. Pretty cool actually. I think the b...

Re: Does a Lack of Regional Dubs Bother You?
No, not really. Well we have several UK members on these forums. What do they think, then? I've honestly never been bothered by the American accents from the Funimation dub. In fact I've always liked the American accent. And it's not just Dragonball either. At least 90% of kids shows on UK TV featur...
