Re: What keeps you coming back to DragonBall?
Unfortunately, after having first been introduced to the series about nine years ago - my interest in the series has dwindled quite a bit... having moved on to other interests and hobbies.. Shows/films that are more serious, deep and detailed tend to be more of my cup of tea anyways. However, I stil...

with elements independent from those of the original manga/anime series , with its own twist on things.. Why would making a Dragonball film without using the story of Dragonball seem like a good idea to you or anyone else for that matter? And no I don't care if you have ideas on how to remake Drago...

Computer animated DB film?
What would you folks think of a computer animated film (like Avatar) version of Dragon Ball to come out on the big screen - but with elements independent from those of the original manga/anime series and DB Evolution, with its own twist on things.. This is something I would like to see happen, but w...

Re: Awkward name renderings?
Kakkarot was once transliterated as "Kakrott" (or was it "Kakrotto"?) in the 2008 special.

I am sure Akira Toriyama came up with the design - scroll down to "RUMOR: Akira Toriyama had nothing to do with filler."Piccolo Daimaoh wrote:I think that was Toei's doing.

Re: The Saiya-jin warrior Radditz
Bardock too seemed to have more Saiyan pride - probably for the same reason caejones mentioned.. Yet Bardock also cared more about his people and planet than Vegeta. So Perhaps those in the highest Elite class tended to be more in for themselves than the lower class individuals, and the only thing t...

Re: The Saiya-jin warrior Radditz
If that's true (I'd like to first hear what others have to say on this) I give Raditz credit for that! Vegeta on the other hand only cared about himself and becoming the strongest in the Universe, until I guess the Cell Games..

Ancient Persian dwelling resembles that of the Saiyans'
Link.
It totally looks like the rocky homes that the Saiyans lived in - as seen in the flashback episode of them fighting the Tsuffuls on (then) Planet Plant. Maybe Mr. Toriyama got the idea from this?

Re: The Saiya-jin warrior Radditz
Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Raditz show to be a little more in tuned to his Saiyan heritage than Vegeta (who has shown many times he doesn't really give two shits about)?

There are an number of options that you can use to mask your IP address with a US based IP. I do that when I run across a website that has content blocked in Canada.

Re: Best case of character development
I agree with Rocketman - Vegeta's was much more realistic than Piccolo's. So I go with Vegeta on this and Tenshinhan second.

Re: Favorite Super Saiyan Transformation Scene
"NOOOOO, not the robot I've known for fifteen minutes! HOW DARE YOU, CELL" Now that I think of it, why did Gohan get so mad when Cell crushed #16? He didn't know him for that long and he badly wanted to kill his father. That is why that scene didn't do it for me like the two I menti...

Re: Favorite Super Saiyan Transformation Scene
Kakkarot's on Namek and Future Trunks' in the TV special, hands down. Gohan's SSJ2 transformation was emotional too, but it just doesn't do it for like the first two I mentioned... neither do Kakkarot's SSJ3 and 4.

Re: Backstories as seperate volumes?
This is a bit of an interesting question for me, as I would absolutely love to get really deep into the personalities of Lunch, Tenshinhan, Chaotzu, Freeza, and especially Pilaf. Really, anything to get away from the all Saiyan hour that the series became in the the last parts of Z. However, I don'...

Posted on my board - This is from the Official DBZ timeline - which is from the Daizenshuu, broken down into sections relevant to the Saiya. It is for reference only. Source Approximately 238 B.C. The Legendary Super Saiya-jin appears and wreaks havoc across the Universe. Approximately 550 A.D. The ...
