Awww man, I totally forgot about this! I got the PM but I forgot to do a little voice message about this until just now! I did send them this about the wedding and such: Mike and Meri, I know we've seen each other in passing over the past few years, and I've seemed to always keep my distance. We may...

This gives new meaning to the question: "Would you like to Phone a Friend?" Granted, this isn't Millionaire material, but it's a fun, very light quizzer for kids. And wow, I can't believe there are still people that are amazed that Dragon Ball Z is a kids' show first and foremost. I guess,...

A personal note: Although I knew you were on your way back to NJ on the Sunday of AWA, I made mention of you after I replayed your Street Fighter II video on Sunday. It was my favorite Pro video this year, and I was disappointed it wasn't nominated for anything. I hope everything goes well for the w...

That DB DS commercial was just pure joy. It also makes me wonder (spoiler) why I didn't get to sing "Makafushigi Adventure!" when I was in music class in grade school. All we got to sing were things like "My Favorite Things" and "If I Had a Hammer".... (Admittedly, when...

I saw this at Otakon, and I felt this warm and fuzzy feeling after watching this. I almost have to wonder, did Rancid do a song for a children's album a while back? That was so good!

That was really good, no wonder it made it to the Finals at Otakon. I especially liked the bits where you had the scenes flash in rythm with the snare drum in the background. The thing at the beginning and after the 1st chorus was fun to put together, I'll admit. However, I was amazed at how much e...

Earth's Last Hope (Otakon 2008 AMV)

Here is my AMV for this year's contest at Otakon. This was my fifth year trying to make it into the contest... and when I found out I would be a finalist in the contest this year, I was shocked and thrilled. Video: Earth's Last Hope (a-m-v.org link) (also available on YouTube) Category: Action Anime...

Quick update: Otakon finally posted an easy-to-read grid-format schedule on their website, and according to it, the JAM Project concert is scheduled to start at 7:30pm , not 8 or 9 as previously tentatively announced. This definitely kills all chance of my attending the first showing of the AMV cont...

I'm definitely going to Otakon next weekend.... a whole bunch of my friends are going up for the JAM Project concert as well. That is going to rock so much. I'll be there. The JAM Project concert is Friday, right? I don't see a time listed anywhere... We'll be getting to the con early that afternoon...

The Vegeta and Nappa show?

I'm not sure if this has been brought up previously, and if it has, I apologize.... Apparently there's several videos up on YouTube of two comedians dressed up as Vegeta and Nappa doing some live-action stuff around Tokyo. I would like to know what the heck these guys are going on about. It certainl...

It looks nice that GT was shown without the letterbox effect in that trailer that was posted -- but considering that more TVs are taking advantage of the 16:9 aspect ratio, perhaps the reason why the trailer looked full-screen was because it was optimized for anamorphic playback? (You know, the pict...

I finished the Podcast last night and watched the first DBZ Abridged. At first I was thinking "meh it's another youtube thingy that the kids seem to like" but after listening to the rest of the Podcast, I have discovered PURE GENIUS! I'm glad to see the spirit of good fandubs/fan parodies ...

I haven't been posting here in a while - I moved into a new facility at work and I'm just now able to post to the forum at work. Also, since my morning commute is now half as long as it has been for the past year, I'm listening to less of the Podcast on my way to work on Monday mornings.... I did ca...

Re: The new One Piece DVD makes DBZ re-season 5 look like a

Does anyone know why DBZ is FUNI's only property is constantly getting raped? What other projects does Sabat direct, or does he direct all of FUNI's in-house jobs? Because Dragon Ball is still a cash cow for Funimation... they know that as long as they can keep putting out "improved" rele...

A fun music-centric episode! I also liked the new arrangements of the Dragon Ball themes. Makafushigi sounds pretty good, as good as the Tokyo Brass Style arrangement! I like the orchestra feel as opposed to the synthesizer feel of the 2001 version. It's very nice, light, J-pop fun. BTW, I'm pretty ...

Actually, that'd be neat as long as it looks good. :) There were some interesting questions asked during the panel, and I'd like to hear some of those again.

Who the hell's talking over Vic? I hate it when people do that. I think it's the guy who is recording the clip. I'm grateful for the insight and everything but it sounds like he was trying to have a casual conversation with the crew that was addressing a huge mass. I really despise that too to be h...

I'm very thrilled that you have enjoyed my clips. People ask why is DBZ still popular after the last of the "new" episodes aired years ago in the States (and moreso in Japan)? People still remember and enjoy the show. The sheer fact that the room was packed to the rafters for the DBZ panel...

Ryuusei Nakao rocks Animazement! And other DBZ stuff :)

Here I am at Animazement, and the voice of Freeza, Ryuusei Nakao, put on a great panel this morning. He also had some great stuff at the packed DBZ panel later this afternoon. Check some of these videos out, especially of the Ryuusei Nakao's panel: -- At Nakao-san's panel, he showed a relatively new...

Re: So, I'm going to Animazement this weekend...

Anything you all want me to ask Takeshi Kusao, Ryusei Nakao, Kara Edwards, Kyle Hebert, or Vic Mignogna? I'm going there too - there's got to be some really good, borderline-creepy questions we can ask Ryusei Nakao about Freeza. ;-) (something like, "so who's the top/seme/dominant one anyway, ...
