Re: Was Kibito in Limbo?
I don't see why not. Unless him being revived by Shenlong somehow contradicts that?

Re: The power limits of the FPSSJ/MSSJ form?
You're contradicting yourself without even seeing it. Either the gains are the same (+x every time), or they're not. I'm saying the gains remain the same. They might not look as impressive if you get a lot stronger because obviously it becomes harder to, for instance, double your strength each time...

Re: The power limits of the FPSSJ/MSSJ form?
If you started lifting 60kg and after some time you could lift 70, it doesn't mean that after the same amount of 60kg lifting you'll do 80, 90, etc. You need to lift more weight to progress. I don't see why wouldn't that apply to DB and in fact everything suggests it does. They used up everything R...

Re: Am I the only one who hates all these new movies?
What factors decide the canonicity is up to the individual to decide, but contradiction probability does make DB and the movies different in that regard, and by a huge margin. So... DB and movies are not a similar experience.

Re: Am I the only one who hates all these new movies?
How about the fact that the movies produce mistakes within a way shorter periods of time? If you consider 1 or 2 chapters an episode, then DB's contradictions are what, 1% of movies' contradictions? That's a whole lotta difference to me.

Re: The power limits of the FPSSJ/MSSJ form?
Oh, well I'm pretty sure you can only do so much with the same kind of training. The sparring thing remains effective, but ROSAT's environment? I don't think so, they must've gotten used to it to the point where it's no longer beneficial enough to suffer the "torture". After all, Goku did ...

Re: Am I the only one who hates all these new movies?
In terms of validity and what is canon and such, I don't think that them being more understandable is a relevant factor. I think that, in addition to how often those contradictions happened in DB, is a very important factor when comparing DB to the "tie-in" movies. "DB has a few cont...

Re: Am I the only one who hates all these new movies?
Contradictions in the manga are also mistakes that shouldn't be there. Neither has an excuse. The only difference is that in one of them the mistakes are made by the author and in the other the mistakes are done by other people. In order for the plot to advance the way one wants and not being able ...

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Fukkatsu no F"
I suppose if you go by Toriyama-canon (stuff made by Toriyama which supposedly ties into the manga continuity), then you'd go with the actual things Toriyama wrote and not how Toei interpreted and portrayed them in the anime. He did "write the story as though the manga continued", but does...

Re: Am I the only one who hates all these new movies?
Yeah, contradictory material in Dragon Ball can really only be judged by its degree of lameness. Much of the contradictions in the manga at least build towards cool new scenarios, like the aforementioned Red Ribbon Army arc. Most of the contradictions in GT on the other hand introduce nothing but s...

Re: The power limits of the FPSSJ/MSSJ form?
Goku probably meant that it's not worth torturing themselves inside ROSAT in order to gain an insignificant amount of power, because they already used up their ROSAT-sparring training method to its full potential. Like pointed out before, Gohan was boosted in strength enough that when he gets angry,...

Sure, let's exclude him killing 200+ innocents just to get Goku to fight him. He's a good person.dae428 wrote:He hasn't murdered any people in a while excluding the Majin incident.

They don't need any solid and specific arguments for why they think it was good and they don't need a list of strong arguments to be allowed to express their opinion. Absolutely correct. You have absolutely misunderstood me, though. I'm not saying you need an argument to let people know about you l...

I never told anyone to shut up. Stop defending BOG only because it happened to deliver what you enjoy about DB, because it didn't deliver what many others enjoy about DB. In order for them to stop defending, they have to shut up about it. Or just state things you agree with. So... Since it somehow ...

I never told anyone to shut up, especially about their opinion. And I know you weren't talking to me. You did say that I don't make sense, though, and since I am not really allowed to defend myself, you shouldn't be allowed to indirectly attack me, neither. Let's end this here, I will write you a PM...

As its perfectly clear from my posts, I was merely turning his own words back on him just so he could see how they don't make sense. I would appreciate if you didn't go around throwing statements like that I don't make sense. I stand by what I said. Perhaps you failed to understand me (because ther...
