Re: Why did Toei cop-out on making Kai a new animated series
I like how you completely ignored Puto's counter-examples while quoting his post. JulieYBM actually made a good point there. While I myself do prefer the older art, your provided CD cover is not a very good example of why it's worse.

Re: VIZ 3-in-1 Editions Coming Summer 2013
Well, so much for uncut! I can take or leave their removal of the cursing, but the art edits are blatant false advertising. It's a shame, too, because I was thinking about getting these.

Isn't this basically how Vegeta of Universe 8 got SSJ in the first place? Going beyond his normal limits in one context? I have no problem with this.

Re: So how was the Videl vs. Spopovich fight censored on Too
^It's worth noting that this is a mistake that is continually made with edit-for-TV anime, going as far back as Sailor Moon . The "Sailor Says" segments, or even the episode previews, often contained footage excised from the episode and/or censored. Hell, the NickToons version suffers from...

Lol @ the fact that they label the extended version the "uncut" one. Is that still so inbred in their reputation that they can use it to their advantage in marketing? Also, Marc, would you mind saying if that's an animated background?

Re: Unpopular DB opinions
I like Dragonball Evolution way more than I like most of the franchise. I also generally prefer GT over the other two, though I think the single best piece of Z fiction (Battle of Gods) is better than the grand majority of stuff put out in this franchise overall. Whoa there. Before anyone starts se...

Wow! I think your tone really fits Goku. Add me to the list of people interested in hearing you do a fandub in Spanish as well; your accent impedes your delivery a fair amount, although that is to be expected.
Hope to see more from you, English or Spanish.

Don't worry. It's not. Kojiro Sasaki is prone to hyperbole. He probably grabbed that off youtube, looking at the jaggles.

Re: Dragon Ball Z "Seasons" On Blu-ray: News & Discussion
A part of me honestly hopes that these sets sell well enough to fund a print-on-demand style release for the Levels sets, but I'm not holding my breath. It'd be wonderful to have that and their cleaned-up audio; it may be simple filtering, but it's honestly night and day.

I mean, it's a special. They only get so many pages. What do you expect? In all likelihood other people might have complained if it went on for much longer than this. I like the idea of Cold going all out immediately. It shows that he's less stupid than his son, a, and b, it highlights how intimidat...

Re: The International (/Korean) Version of the Buu-Kai Arc
I think that just means he has the SD feed rather than the HD feed. It's probably from a capture card. Note: it's been talked about on twitter that this dub suffers from PAL speedup. Not surprising, I suppose, but I can't say I'm not disappointed that in the era of HD this is still a problem. I only...

Re: Most overpowered videogame DBZ character of all time
Mr. Satan in Legacy of Goku II. That stun attack. So where's the best place in the game to farm XP? Sort of off-topic, but I always went to the section where you first look for Gero (Northern Mountains?) and go past the other character's Level 50 gate. The dinosaurs there are easy to take out even ...

Re: Dragon Ball Z Kai: Yamamoto Revival (Parts 5-8)
Yeah, I only have headphones for my laptop -- and a pretty solid 2.0 system hooked up to my TV (it's an old receiver I'm using and I'm pretty sure the center channel doesn't work so I haven't bothered getting more speakers) -- so individually changing the levels doesn't usually work for me. Thanks f...

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread
This is never set in stone. Toriyama could make Piccolo as strong as he likes just for the heck of it. Toriyama doesn't exactly do these things. Piccolo has already reached his limits through training apparently, so Toriyama would have to bring a strong Namekian for him to merge. Saiyan Zenkais wou...

Re: Dragon Ball Z Kai: Yamamoto Revival (Parts 5-8)
I'm reviving this for a simple audio question I have; hopefully this is the right place to get answers. I have the same problem Ajay has with, well, pretty much any 5.1 mix FUNimation has ever made for Dragonball Z - Kikuchi or otherwise. Is there an easy way to raise the levels of the music in a me...
