Budokai and Budokai Tenkaichi's influence on DBZ games

Post by DBZAOTA482 » Fri Oct 21, 2016 1:23 pm

It's common knowledge among the playerbase that both series pretty much set the standards for future games, for better or worse. Both successfully capture the essence of the series... they're fun and quirky, not quite like anything else before it (especially Tenkaichi) but....

How did they effect DBZ games and anime games in general?
I know Spike themselves acknowledged Budokai 3 is the best DBZ game as they copied it multiple times.
Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

Well, look at the Xenoverse series. It takes the same gameplay approach like the Tenkaichi series, despite Dimps being the developer. If what you said is true, I would say Dimps is complimenting Spike this way.
