Is Extreme Butōden a solid fighting game?

Post by DBZAOTA482 » Mon Nov 07, 2016 8:33 pm

I know this a bit silly to expect out of an anime-based fighter as they're license titles so it's more about messing around with your favorite characters than being mechanically sound (except maybe Super DBZ but neither of it's playerbases gave a shit about it) but I don't care for just an experience with video games. If I wanted to experience my favorite show/movie/book, I'd watch/read the show/movie/book.

Anyways, is Extreme Butōden a deep and authentic fighter with a deceptively simplistic exterior like Budokai and Ultimate Ninja or it just another mediocre fighter with the right name... like Bleach: Shattered Blade?

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

It has a lot of potential, but is held back, because of the 3DS. If they were to ever make an arcade or console sequel it'd be amazing. The only games I can compare it to is a simplified version of Guilty Gear or Persona 4 Arena.
