What would you think of an AU DB game with a dialogue tree where you control the outcomes?

Basically, it could be set at a different point in time or an alternate universe with little relation to the characters we know, or it could be an AU version of the original events of Dragon Ball. A fighting game with standard controls you would expect in a Dragon Ball game. But also have a level system with level grinding. You get to decide certain things things with your decisions such as which characters fall into the background and which ones stay caught up in the long run, who gets redeemed and who dies, ect...

If it is an AU retelling of the original Dragon Ball story, they could come up with curve balls like Namekians are actually revealed to be demons with Kami as their wisest leader banished from Namek and hiding on Earth from Frieza's well intentioned Army of Anti-Heros who has manipulated events from the start to ensure Goku can reach SSJ and take down his enemies. Or where Cell is sent back in time to save the past from Androids. You get the options to join villains or save the day again, certain decisions will trigger members of your party to try to stop you if your influence with them isn't high enough, and possibly kill them. Something to the effect of Krillin or Roshi trying to stop you from conquering the Earth no matter what if you go that route requiring you to kill them, while Yamcha and Tien can go either way depending on your influence with them. Joining bad guys none the less opens up new potential allies (like making Raditz or Dabura your evil underlings or something). A few characters like Gohan and Goten follow you no matter what. Maybe even give the option to marry Bulma instead of Chichi and have different children who can be allowed to fight from the start. If you play it a certain way you can even have Yamcha and Krillin as God Tier by the end if invest enough time, influence, distribute some kind of training points system to them instead of spreading them to the rest of your party, help them take extra challenges, ect...

If it is completely separate from our Dragon Ball, they could make your a human or a member of a different race of your choosing to start. After that they could basically start you out as something like a normal 10 year old taking martial arts classes to defeat a bully and win some local tournament, work your way up to taking down a minor gang the next arc, then get introduced to someone with special abilities (your equivalent to Roshi or Grandpa Gohan) who trains you. You become stronger, take part in tournaments and defeat or aid evil, make new allies, grow up and eventually move beyond your planet and into space fighting stronger opponents with higher stakes, eventually moving into different timelines, dimensions, the afterlife, demon realm, ect... If you play your cards right you can even have some childhood friend fighting alongside you evenly with god tiers at the end by influencing him at the right time and level grinding.

You can play the your character a variety of ways. Act just like Goku, be a conventional super hero, be a clown, an anti-hero, a villain, an anti-villain, a bioware style evil who kills for no reason, ect...

Thoughts? Has there ever been a Dragon Ball game remotely like this?

No, there hasn't been a Dragonball game like this, but I would like to see something like this.
