Should Super Dragon Ball Z get a sequel/remake?

Post by DBZAOTA482 » Sun May 21, 2017 10:40 am

Well I'm not the biggest fan of the game (my boy Quebaz got that covered) but I think it's a shame Atari/Bamco basically threw it out there to die. I actually admired it's attempt at being a serious fighting game and it's the probably closest any DBZ game has ever gotten to be a legit fighter.

It also offered some really cool perks that most DBZ games lack:

1. It made Chi-Chi the badass female fighter that she should've been (though I don't mind her being a housewife).

2. Nice manga-inspired visuals.

3. A great Skill Tree customization system. Want Vegeta to learn Kamehameha? Done. Want Freeza to learn Masenko? Totally possible.

Now imagine the game but with more characters (not missing key characters as such Tien, Yamcha, and Raditz), more advanced graphics, and more fleshed-out combat.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

Definitely. Still one of my faves to play for fun, it's the build up system that makes me remember it fondly.

And how every character had a voice-line recorded for summoning Shenron, that was cool to hear.

I'd pay top dollar for a HD re-release with a functioning online. Still my favourite Dragon Ball game.

I would be up for it if Namco Bandai hires Crafts & Meister and Arika again.

I need one like, yesterday.

Needs obligatory online mode and quality of life features to make it survive in this gen's environment, if a sequel should be made please don't lock every unlockable on Dragon Ball grinding that's single player only ever again, thank you.
