Interview with Daisuke Uchiyama on the Budokai series and other DBZ games

Post by 90sDBZ » Wed Feb 07, 2018 7:22 pm

I recently stumbled upon this interview from last October. Not sure if anyone else has posted it but I found it pretty interesting.

http://www.gameinformer.com/b/features/ ... iyama.aspx

A couple of things stood out to me; the fact that he doesn't seem to acknowledge Infinite World or even Burst Limit when discussing ending the Budokai series at 3, and that he seems to attribute the international success of the entire franchise to Budokai 1 rather than the anime itself. Anyway I'm glad to hear he's still proud of Budokai 3, which he should be.

Man cool find! So budokai 1 almost didnt happen because of the licensors and had to go through heavy revisions. Its true what he said that could have changed the history of the franchise had it not come out.

And only end things at 3 huh. So good chance we might not see a xv4? At least we know xv3 will be epic.
