It's basically Xenoverse, but with Shonen Jump overall. I am more than okay with that as a basis, and odd graphic choices aside, I'm so freakin' hyped for this game. It's a shame I won't be done with Kingdom Hearts III before this is out. ^_^;;;

I would love if that happened, but I figure we'd have to get extremely lucky to see that happen. Buso was never that popular overall, and while Kenshin might skate by due to how beloved it is, Buso would probably be a step too far for a lot of people after recent 'news' revelations in regards to the author.

Holy molly Nobuhiro Watsuki worked on both manga we learn things everyday, but do japanese gamers care that much about that stuff ? Also quid of fanboy ?

Hard to call, I know a lot of US fans have voiced their concerns in regards to continuing to support the Kenshin franchise (as is their personal rights to), but as far as Japan goes? Really hard to call, especially given the relative slap-on-the-wrist punishment he got.

Honestly the biggest factor will again just be lack of overall popularity. I love Buso Renkin, as do you it seems, but we're pretty much in the minority it seems like. It just never caught on that big in the US or in Japan.

Looks like the Open Beta is almost upon us. Unfortunately the only one I can hopefully take part in myself is the first one on Friday - I'll be at work for all the others.

Doesn't look like we'll be able to tinker with the create-a-character option in it just yet, but we'll be able to play as Goku, Vegeta, and Freeza from Dragon Ball; Naruto and Sasuke from Naruto; Luffy, Zoro, and Blackbeard from One Piece; Hisoka and Gon from Hunter x Hunter; Ichigo and Rukia from Bleach; Seiya from Saint Seiya; Yusuke and Toguro from Yu Yu Hakusho; Kenshin from Rurouni Kenshin; and Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star.

Anyone heard when the open beta download is supposed to be available to download by the way? I'm hoping at least late Thursday we can pre-download it and just not do anything with it until the right time on the following day, because who knows how big a file this is going to be and how long it might take to download, thus cutting into the play time of that first round of playing (which is the only one I have a potential chance to check out anyway).

Forgot to post about this earlier (and apologies for the double post), but the Open Beta file is available for download now. It's a little under 8 GB, and mine just finished a little bit ago, so I'm all ready to hopefully check it out a bit on Friday.

Weekly Jump revealed Kakashi, Gaara & Kaguya from Naruto, as well as Boruto (who is counted separate as his own series).

Little disappointed to see Boruto tossed in (especially as his own series, since that could just be a way to cheat in even MORE Naruto characters technically...), but ah well. It's already pretty clear we're going to have less series represented here overall than what we did in J-Stars. :/ Still pretty psyched for the game though.

Also, to anyone that downloaded the Open Beta, there was actually an update file for it put up today too that's about 5 GB. Not sure what all's in it, but may as well get it if anyone's planning to check it out tomorrow or the next couple of days.

I really just wanna see more Yu Yu Hakusho characters added. That's one of my fav nostalgic animes. At the very least Hiei and Sensui. I think we're good elsewhere (especially if Boruto is being treated as it's own separate series)
