And yet they still call him "Mister Satan" in the dialog text. I guess they were just too lazy to change that float stand sprite.

I never realized how awful the American portraits were up until seeing the Japanese versions.
Edit: Although it IS funny how they changed Trunk's jacket from blue to purple yet when he goes SSJ they opted to leave it blue.

I think quality varies from each one. Bulma in the US looks better IMO, but Goku's god awful. Their Piccolo's ridiculously better. Japan butchered Trunks.Vegeta's ridiculous in both. Can we see their 18, please? That was terrible n the US... as well as SSJ Vegeta; the two worst in our version.
IMO, a mixed bag. Mr. Satan has a less psychotic look in the US edition, which I prefer.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
It's kind of interesting how radically the portrait sprites improve in Buu's Fury. All of the ones in that game looked pretty good. I wonder if they hired a different artist or what?

For the sake of comparison, here's those same portraits from the US version:

What was the point of changing Gohan's suspenders from yellow to green?

That a funny thing, we change their musics, but they changes our graphic !
There are other 3 portaits from the japanese version :
Isn't a easy and short game, i really don't want to beat the game again, but i can try to go in the C-18 part ...

The American version came first so you mean green to yellow...sorry for being nitpickey.

Meh, both sets of mugshots look unimpressive.
