Music Composer of the 12 and 13th Movies?
Does anyone know the music composer / artist of the English versions of DBZ movies 12 / 13?
Is it Bruce Faulconer or someone completely different?

I'm not too sure about DBZ Movie 13, but I think I recall Mark Menza being in the credits of my DBZ Movie 12 DVD.
EDIT: He's credited in DBZ Movie 13, as well.

I think it was Nathan Johnson for both 12 and 13.

I decided to fact check online. Apparently, Mark Menza gets credited for the remastered editions, while Nathan Johnson gets credited for alternate releases.thaman91 wrote:I think it was Nathan Johnson for both 12 and 13.

For the record it goes like this.
"Ocean" Dub AKA pre-in house Funimation dub was done by Shuki Levi.
Funimation's in house dub score for Z from Ginyu up until episode 291 was done by Bruce Faulconer, Mike Smith, Scott Morgan and Julius Doubos.
Dragonball GT, the 2005 redub of DBZ Movie One, and the 5th and 6th films were done by Mark Menza.
And the 2005-2007 redub of the Saiyan and Namek arcs along with the 12th and 13th films and the redubs of the 2nd and 3rd movies were done by Nathan Johnson.
I'm not sure who did Movie 11.
Also if I recall correctly, there were a few original pieces by Mark Menza done for the films that used licenced metal music for the score.

Re: Music Composer of the 12 and 13th Movies?
As far as i'm aware, this is the complete list of people who were responsible for the music in FUNimation's various dubs of the movies
DB Movie 1: Peter Berring (Most of this music was later reused on the 1995 DB dub that aired in syndication. Some pieces may have been created specifically for this movie)
DB Movie 1 redub and Movies 2-3: Kikuchi
DBZ Movie 1: Kikuchi
DBZ Movie 1 redub: Mark Menza (Although i've seen Nathan Johnson credited for this. It wouldn't surprise me since it sounds like him)
DBZ Movie 2: Kikuchi
DBZ Movie 2 redub: Nathan Johnson (Likewise, i've seen Menza credited for doing this)
DBZ Movie 3 TV version: Ron Wasserman (All music was recycled from the censored Saiyan/Namek Saga dub. Some people list Shuki Levy and the non-existent Kussa Mahehi as per the end credits, but it has been indicated they were not involved at all)
DBZ Movie 3 home video version: Kikuchi
DBZ Movie 3 redub: Nathan Johnson
DBZ specials and Movies 4-8: Mainly "real American band" music, along with underscore cues done by Faulconer and later Mark Menza, although there seems to be some uncertainty regarding Faulconer's involvement and where it starts/ends
DBZ Movies 9-11: Mark Menza (Once again, i've seen Johnson mentioned in regards to these)
DBZ Movies 12-13: Nathan Johnson
All the non-FUNimation English dubs and the Blu Ray releases just use the default Kikuchi music.

Re: Music Composer of the 12 and 13th Movies?
It would have been interesting to have seen more variety in composers for the Funimation movie scores, perhaps a different composer on every film would have worked better than just circulating between Menza and Johnson.
Mark Menza did a decent job on movie 6 (Return of Cooler) however I found the rest of his work, especially on the Bojack film and GT to be terribly bland and dull to listen to.
Johnson was a step up overall. Probably my favourite of Funimation's in-house composers tbh.
