Rediscovered this on YouTube recently. It's an early '90s Dragon Ball Z album that -- in addition to being a hilariously dead-on template for everything that's come to be associated with vaporwave, both visually and aurally -- seems to consist of ... video-game-inspired? ... tracks. They sound like Yamamoto's Butoden series work, but I can't tell exactly. There are a handful of vocal songs as well.
Does anyone have a better understanding of what this album is? Are the instrumentals Yamamoto? Were these tracks ever used for anything else?

WIkipedia tells me it's one of the Hit Song Collections CDs.
It still amazes me how much DBZ music was released in Japan.

There's a site too?! (use Ctrl+F to find it) From what I understand, these are just extra songs for your enjoyment and don't really appear elsewhere.

Image songs is the phrase I was looking for!

This is so weird but I would instrumentals for almost all these songs. Triangle 3 is banging.
