Newest episode showed that Sumitomo is on fire. That jazzy track when Caulifla turned Super Saiyan gave me life.

I've only heard good things. Looking forward to it when I watch.

The music just made Caulifla even more sexier and seductive.

^Yeah I really loved that OST.

Is this also a new OST? It came up a few episodes ago (episode 88 to be exact):

Wow, then Sumitomo's really on a role. This is really good music imo

Not his fault, that's the sound director's job.

Also, that soundtrack at the end of the last episode was nothing short of epic.

I have to say, I really like his more funky and jazzy tunes and title card is one of my favorites.
The whole series should've sound like that, even tough he is not that great as Kikuchi or Yamamoto was with his rich compositions (sans the infrigments),
but I really can't stand his bland and boring synth music. But Goku Black's Theme was kinda good and I like that atmospheric piece for Beerus. Nothing great as a standalone music piece, just atmosphere, but it worked well with those scenes showing Beerus as a more of a villain and threat (Which obviously didn't work, because everyone saw Battle of Gods 3 years before).

Agreed Sumitomo should try to focus more on Orchestra or Jazz but his Techno Synth tracks really sound like generic bland music
I prefer Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, DB/Z/GT Movies, Dragon Ball Super and Dragon Ball GT in Japanese.
For DBZ Kai and two new Movies I like both Dub and Sub. I Prefer Shunsuke Kikuchi Soundtracks over All other Composers.

Some of them are pretty good. Also pretty sure he is a saxophonist

It makes sense then, because his later music is more lively and not as bland as some of the early compositions were and Kai Last Chapters is utterly horrible - they should've sticked with Kikuchi until the end.
But I must say that I started to enjoy Sumitomo's work in the new tracks playing in Universe Survival Arc :)

Does this remind anyone of a track we hear a lot through Super? https://youtu.be/UuN9Y7MNJW8

It plays 12:35 during episode 96.

I so don't know what you are talking about. And it sure doesn't sound like the track you linked either.

I'm impressed with Sumitomo's work for the Universal Survival Arc :D . His work with jazzy, and funky music is definitely some of the highlights for me, and whenever he tries out some orchestral music he absolutely owns the scene.

That new track for the recap of last episode where Universe 9 got erased was just chilling.
