Has Yamamoto ever said anything on the whole plagiarism thing?

Has Kenji Yamamoto ever gone on record and made a comment about his plagiarism and him being fired from composing for DB?

Kei17 (when he was still here) said that Yamamoto revealed that he was banned from ever composing again. Now he just arranges.

He is still active; I heard he put out new material for a tribute album after Japan was devastated in 2011.

That's probably for the best. He is a fantastic arranger, as you can hear from his plagiarized music.

I bet if he stuck with nothing but arranging, he'd be working on Dragon Ball Super right about now.

That sounds too harsh. Just make him pay a fine or do some time in jail. Taking away one man's way of expressing himself is almost inhumane.

He's not banned from composing or arranging, per se.

He can do it on his own time. No-one has to pay him for it if they're not willing to take on the risk. There are consequences to your actions, and he's living his.

(And you don't go to jail without someone actually pressing charges.)

This whole plagiarizing ordeal regarding Yamamoto and DB got me thinking. Was any of his non-DBZ tracks (be it as arranger or composer) ever revealed to be plagiarized? Or just the Z ones because that was what he was best known for?

People complained that the Zyuranger OP theme (which was not composed by Yamamoto but rather by Goji Tsuno; Yamamoto arranged it) somewhat plagiarized Jerry Goldsmith's Total Recall theme. So it wasn't just DBZ.
