Episode #0300! VegettoEX, Julian, and Meri toss around a couple "What If" ideas: What if Goku never grew his tail back? What if Yamcha paid attention? What if Kuririn killed Vegeta? These (plus plenty more!) "What If" situations and a fun look back at three hundred episodes of spectacular "Dragon Ball" podcasting wrap up the episode. Referenced sites:
Thanks for being along for the ride, everyone!

(We did a last-second live broadcast on this. I did a bunch of testing later on and confirmed that Google Hangouts totally hijacks audio controls and tries to adjust levels on-the-fly... which is incredibly stupid when you're using a mixer and already have everything balanced. There's no option to turn that behavior off like there is in Skype, but I just recently learned about the "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" option to uncheck in Windows 7. I'll do some more testing and hopefully that will take care of it -- this is a great way for us to broadcast episodes live even when we're not all in the same room.)

EDIT: A couple random shots from our "rare DBZ products" Q&A section...

I dunno what's going on, but every time I try to hit to download this new podcast (I've tried it a few times each from both the main site and from the link here), instead of downloading it, it opens it and starts playing. I'm thinking this is an error on my side because it's opening it in some sort of in-browser VLC player thing (and I just recently re-downloaded VLC player), but I thought I'd mention it on the off chance it's not my side and it's happening to anyone else.

That's all on your end and how your browser and any installed programs (in this case, specifically those that handle MP3 files) are set up.

There's always right-click, "Save As"...

I more or less knew it was, I just wanted to address it on the off chance anyone else did. And I'd tried right-click 'save as' but it was only giving me 'Save link as' which usually just saved an HTML file in the past. Went ahead and clicked it this time though...and it's saving as an MP3 file instead. *scratches head*

Guess I'll have to toggle into my VLC player settings. It never did that when I had it on my old computer.

Love when you guys do these types of podcasts. I totally dig metaing and over thinking about the show with things like "what if" ideas. Basically the only reason I search out for fanfiction is to see how people would explore these sorts of things.

Congrats on 300 podcasts, here's hoping we got lots more. :)

The QR code is thing seems to be the weird mobile tech-related item that seems to not be going away anytime soon. Yes, practically seeing them everywhere (on the label of some rather innocuous food-item or household product to advertising seen at train stations) is a bit off-putting for me personally since I still don't have my own smartphone. Then again, since Japan is nation of public transit users (mostly), I guess it's something to do whilst sitting or standing around waiting or on board the train or bus.

Yeah, I have nothing else to say...

Mike: "The first OLD news." Meri: "OLD!" Mike: "The Dragon Ball Z for Kinect QR Code Trailer. Which apparently, I missed a month ago when some Chinese site put it up."

When this part of the podcast came up I laughed so hard and thought of our comments on the main page when you posted the trailer. I think we typed the word "old" 5 times.

Great podcast. Sucks that I missed it live.

I have 2 what ifs that are pretty weird if you want more, what if Cell escaped Gohan's kamehameha with instant transmission and what if Cooler existed and trained after his families murder, then attacked earth at the end of Z.

I thought EX suggested to keep all what ifs to the thread he made specifically for it and the podcast topic for everything else?

Yay, I got my tweet read out!
Some of the What-Ifs that I found interesting were the idea of Raditz being resurrected and obtaining Super Saiyan state. Another thing I thought about was, what if Raditz and Nappa swapped places, or what if Raditz became good and learned the Kaioken technique. Also how long would his hair get if he went SSJ3?! So many questions!
