In regards to the "when is ki sensing introduced?", manga-wise the first time we really get the standard "what a powerful ki!" line is at the end of the 22nd TB: when Tenshinhan charges up his Kikoho, Goku notes that he's concentrating strong ki. Then in the Piccolo arc after Goku recovers from drinking the Super God Water, he tells Karin he knows where Piccolo is because he can sense Piccolo's powerful "youki" ("demonic ki", more or less...the parallel to Yu Yu Hakusho is irresistible). Karin is amazed at this. Then as mentioned in the podcast, sensing ki is a big part of what Popo teaches Goku, and from there it becomes standard practice for the main characters after everyone trains under God and Popo in the Saiyan arc.

Sasuga, Mike. I knew that was Chiba but I couldn't tell which episode due to the audio quality and the lack of knowing which line he was speaking. It didn't sound like Raditz, so I'm going with Garlic Junior.

Now, if you want to do a real brain teaser go for Gouri!
