Great cast! It's upsetting to hear how things have barely changed for Xenoverse 2. I was kind of excited to run around and jump off of cliffs but it doesn't sound like we'll even be able to do that... If it's bad, at least we have Fusions to look forward to and Dragon Ball Online Global. Hyped for the next episode!

Well, listening to that sure made me feel a lot better about being bored out of my mind with Xenoverse 2's demo.

It just doesn't feel different enough. From the reused stages and assets, to the uninspired story and tiny roster additions, it just feels like the expansion I expected it to be.

I 100% appreciate the terrific work they appear to have done with the AI this time, which was a big complaint of mine in the original, but I agree that the actual melee feels far too much like ping pong right now. It's too bouncy, which might add to the spectacle of fights, but it's not very fun to actually play.

That aside, I think this game is just far too premature, and the fact it feels like an expansion only adds to that. I'm a few hours in to its network test and I'm burnt out. I feel like I still haven't cooled off from the last game, and I'm just not interested in going through that again. Especially without a narrative that I want to see through to the end.

Maybe I'll finally pick up a 3DS again when Fusions comes out. It sure sounds like the Dragon Ball game I actually want to play this year.

(Oh, and if it helps, I have a degree in Games Design and specialised in Games Audio during my second year. Mixing is so unbelievably basic, and I cannot fathom how this game passed QA with its current mix)

Dang, really? I knew it was too good to be true when they announced they were pushing out a game this fast :(

I know I still have to play it to gauge how much I personally like it but I'm probably not gonna like it from what I'm hearing.
Oh well. I still got Fusions.

I think Mike said all that needed to be said: "So Kirran, wanna grind again?"

I enjoyed Xenoverse plenty, but this isn't that hard, folks.

Wait so is Gokû Black no longer a pre-order bonus? It still lists him as one on Steam. :?:

Goku black+Tao's log are pre-order bonuses. However, if you don't want to preorder then they will have them available for purchase later

Many thanks!

Right now the only thing keeping me on the fence is:
My laptop is slightly below some of the minimum requirements for XV2.

It plays XV1 just fine, I'm just worried about "What if it can't handle it?"

It's not a slow laptop, and it's relatively new (2013), but its specs are mostly what they are so I can make artwork in Adobe Photoshop - it's not a dedicated gaming laptop.

I don't mind if I have to set the resolution in XV2 to low, just as long as I could play it without lag during battle.

I haven't tried the beta.
