69 episodes internationally. Only 61 in Japan. But why?

IIRC 61 episodes is all Fuji TV needed to fill the gap caused by the cancellation of the Toriko anime. Toei was originally not even going to air Kai TFC in Japan period, and mainly made it for international distribution due to it being more popular overseas.

Ironically, the Fuji TV airings of Kai 2.0 had the OP and ED themes replaced for reasons similar to Funi replacing the music entirely, or Club Dorothee and the AB Groupe coming up with all those original DB tunes for their DB dubs: doing so meant more money for themselves.

The Japan Buu Kai episodes also removed a lot of "leftover filler" in the first couple of TFC episodes and removed the filler party episode near the end of the series (which i'm still confused as to why TFC kept that episode in the first place).
