"Dragon Ball Children" columns from kanzenban pamphlets

Post by SaiyaJedi » Sun Oct 21, 2012 2:13 am

So, Back when the kanzenban volumes were first coming out, they were released two a month, and each pair had a special pamphlet included with a Dragon Ball illustration by a current popular manga artist and a short column about growing up with the series. Back in the day, Mike and I posted up the images in a section of the site called "Other Artists Draw DB"; however, I never got around to translating the essay parts, and kind of let the section go to seed.

Now that we've got the "Translations" section on the new site, though, I'd like to rectify that. The only problem is... where to find the text. After several computer changes, I no longer have the original un-cropped scans. The first 10 illustrations, along with their columns, are reproduced in the Dragon Ball Landmark databook, but the last seven were not, to my knowledge, ever reprinted (we were all expecting them to be in Dragon Ball Forever, but they weren't there). So, if there's someone out there who's preserved these last seven pamphlets along with their text, I'd much appreciate a scan or transcription. The artists in question are:
  • Ken'ichi Sakura
  • Kenjirō Takeshita
  • Norihiro Yagi
  • Arina Tanemura
  • Ryō Azuki
  • Kōshi Rikudō
  • Kōta Hirano
Your reward will be my eternal gratitude, as well as making Kanzenshuu that much more comprehensive.

Is this by chance what you're looking for? Not my scans, but if you click View All Sizes you should be able to get large enough versions to read the text.
