And sue.
And job. Surprised no one mentioned that one yet.

I was just about to post the same.
There was a time when "Deus ex machina" was huge, too!
You can throw in "retcon" as well. That word has lost nearly all its substance with how much it's casually thrown around.

I still haven’t lived down going, “Who the heck is Tao Pai-pai?” that one time I was talking with Ei’ichiro Oda-kun. But the fact that there are still people reading the series after all this time… All I can say is; “thank you.” Really, that’s all.

And that you also have IMMENSELY skewed and comically backwards priorities in what you think is most important and needed to make a good Dragon Ball story.

What about stakes in dbz?
Why power levels are important?
Spoiler:
Power levels establish tension and drama. People who care about them (well, people who care about them in a narrative) don't care about the big numbers or the fancy explosions. If you have character A who's so much above character B, who's the main character, you're gonna be left wondering how in the hell character B, the character we're supposed to care and root for, is going to escape the situation or overcome the odds. It makes us emotionally invested.
If character B doesn't escape the situation in a believable way that's consistent with previous events, then that emotional investment is gone. It was pointless tension, pointless drama made just to suck in the viewer. It has no critical value whatsoever. The audience is left believing that the author can just create whatever scenarios he wants and what happens to the characters is decided by whatever the author wants to happen, regardless of the events that happened in the story. Which, in fairness, is what happens, but the audience wants to be fooled. The audience wants to know that the world they're following has rules. That the world they're invested in isn't going to bend to external factors that are irrelevant to them.
An author can do whatever he wants with the characters, that's not false. But the author should also have the responsibility to make sure it fits in cohesively with the other events in the narrative he has created.
I actually wouldn't mind if Vegeta got knocked out by Frost redirecting the Mafuba and sealed him, it's much more interesting then Vegeta getting KO the normal way, it would suck to see Vegeta go out just before the climax but I would be able to live with it that way. Of course big issue for Frost is he doesn't have a seal...

I still say Vegeta gets trap, the bottle gets lost somehow, and Vegeta is one of the people counted in the end since he's still technically in the ring.

Goku barely took a backseat in the Buu saga, at best he took a leisurely stroll round back while everyone else cried for him to come back.

That would definitely be a very Toriyama thing to do. Veggie fans can rejoic Vegeta goes the distance.

Unless Frost have the seal I don't see why Vegeta could'nt escape the same way zamasu did.

The seal is written directly on the bottle.

Though I think Vegeta being trapped without the seal would be entirely pointless since everyone knows he can just escape from that. There is no drama there. Maybe Roshi seals it quickly without realizing what is happening or Frost does manage to get the seal and Jar away from Master Roshi to actually seal Vegeta away.
Anyways while I don't want Vegeta knocked out of the story so early if it is the case where he is able to escape from the sealed Mafuba that would be pretty cool. I may forgive them for that.
Edit: Or as the above says the seal is written directly on the jar. Actually that makes a lot of sense.

You know they wouldn't accept that.
If they did, they would know Vegeta has more wins in super than Goku.

Frost wouldn't know about that so he could think he's done only for him to break out and kick his sorry behind.
Or the writers will forget a seal is needed and just leave Vegeta in there.
Considering they just showed Roshi sealing the Mafuba in the episode before last, they aren't gonna magically forget how the Mafuba works. I think the lack of seal is what the summaries meant when "Frost seemed to have trapped Vegeta but...".

The seal is on the bottle,we saw that on the Roshi episode, seriously the people that say Toei/Toriyama forgot are the ones who forget something after they saw it.

Considering that Frost is REDIRECTING Roshi's mafuuba, Roshi orbably already has another bottle out with the seal on it.
When Super apparently shoves Goku down our throats:
Spoiler:
HeroR wrote:The characters in Super can work with Goku and they're treated like equals to him. Goku just being in the room doesn't take away from the character. In Z, the characters were so depended on Goku that they couldn't go an episode without mentioning him in some way even by hoping he will arrived, get better, training to get stronger, our last hope, being like him, ect. Goku was wanked to hell in Z, even when he wasn't in the room and everyone else was secondary to him. In fact, this was a major issue Goku had, which is why he didn't want to do anything in the Buu Saga.
