Are we too old to enjoy new Dragon Ball movies/series?

Guys, I'm going to be straight with you. If you feel the show has gotten 'silly' ... it hasn't. You're just 'too old for this shit'. Seriously, 95% of the people in those boards do not fit the target demographic of the show, so don't expect the show to be 'everything you hoped for'. I'm referring to the people here who expect Super to be rich with dark moments, serious storytelling, meaningful characters etc etc. It won't. It's a show for kids. A show for kids being kids. Everyone in those boards has a manchild in him/her, clamoring to get out, and that's fine. But having unrealistic expectations (such as believing the show grew up alongside you) is naïve at best. Honestly, do you take seriously a story where the supposed God of Destruction halts his urges to blow up stuff in order to eat ice cream sundae? That's the show's silliness at full force, take it for what it is. The show hasn't matured one bit, so don't expect it too. Again, I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I'm saying *that* is DB and always will be.

Yes
I fully hope and expect Kefla to body him.
See but what you are forgetting is that Kefla bodying Gohan would make sense.
Spoiler:
Super carries on much of Dragon Ball and Z's charm in ways that might not immediately be obvious, while also bringing something new to the table. I certainly can't think of any previous arcs like Goku Black, and, for all its problems, the Tournament of Power is possibly the most ambitious storytelling endeavor in series history as far as how its narrative unfolds. It's also a thrill ride, which is all I wanted and exactly what I got. Super also canonizes decades old fan theories in ways that very naturally tie into the overall fabric of Dragon Ball's world in satisfying ways. All in all, Dragon Ball, Z, and Super are all well worth experiencing.
We don't even know how strong Gohan is, so it's weird to make all these assumptions about what makes sense in-universe.
Gohhan turning out to be flat out stronger than Kafla would be weird, but I don't think people are really expecting it to be that straightforward.
I'm not to worried personally about how that'll turn out.
Now that Toyo's haphazardly rushed past the bulk of the battle royale part of the tournament, I fully expect him to get down and focus on the stuff his decent at, namely big confrontations.

Yep. Gotta give it to Toyotaro on Full power Blue Goku vs fused Zamas. One of the best fights in Super, both anime and manga.

Yeah, though I personally wasn't fond on Toyo's handling of the battle royale aspect, now that we're past that, I think its probably going to pick up, probably in a big way.
I don’t think a big fight hand to hand kafla vs gohan is gonna happen , I’m expect a twist .soon we will see.
This arc It’s surprisingly interesting at this point , they did good by changing some of the matches , mainly not having the goku vs saiyans girls all over and having different eliminations orders
Saiyans girls had more than enough time screen in the last chapters , so my guess is that they will be gone in the first half of ch.39
The big fight obviously will be Jiren... and it’s gonna deserve a couple of chapters full-on fight
It was as if a whole lot of people ...were screaming in pain....
Ooh, so apparently Dragon Ball Super Manga Volume 7 will have a Special Akira Toriyama Interview on September 4th. That's not too far away! I wonder what that will entail. It's interesting that most of the interviews on DBS from Toriyama are with Toyotaro or about the manga. https://twitter.com/GovetaXV/status/1030324179038392321

I wasn't a member here when chapter 36 was out so I'll just type it here: I had found the lack of showing the other universes' characters' eliminations really a bummers.

Gohan won't be eliminated by Kefla or Jiren because i thought Toriyama wrote the script of each z fighter who get eliminated. In the anime it was Dyspo i think

Not really. Tien and 18 got eliminated by different opponents in the manga.
