Fact Checker (update: Ep.51)

Re: Fact Checker (update: Ep.51)
I guess you should wait someone who speaks Japanese to clarify that. In my perspective, Beerus didn't implied Goku's and Black's kis are totally different, despite that possibly being the case. The lack of reiteration doesn't mean that much either. It could mean Black has a mix of Zamasu & Goku's kis, possibly implying they are merged. Perhaps the Potara preserved Goku's body and Zamasu's spirit or something like that.

Re: Fact Checker (update: Ep.51)
That's an interpretation. And both are different than what appeared on the subs: "This isn't Son Goku fighting Son Goku." The latter is a statement of fact (a false one, since that wasn't a fact in the episode).Chiki wrote:Beerus's sentence "Son Goku, yet not Son Goku" can be read as "He looks like Son Goku, yet his ki doesn't feel like Son Goku's."

Re: Fact Checker (update: Ep.51)
The original line:Chiki wrote:No, speedsubbers got that line right and you got it wrong,
感じる気 is "to sense ki", so から 感じる気 (to sense from あのブラックってやつ's ki) means that he's sensing 孫 悟空にして 孫 悟空にあらず. Even if Black's ki shares no resemblance to Goku's, I don't think this line can be fairly interpreted any other way.孫 悟空 Son Goku
にして 孫 悟空にあらず only not Son Goku...
あのブラックってやつ that Black fellow
から 感じる気 to sense (or "what I'm sensing") from [his] ki
がね ga ne, sentence end
When I explained this to you on Reddit days ago, you demanded that I produce multiple native speakers to prove myself to you, and declined my recommendation to contact the translators at DragonTeam, or even Herms here at Kanzenshuu. I've done both for you.

Re: Fact Checker (update: Ep.51)
I'm not particularly interested in said drama from said external thread making its way here. The answer has been given yet again, so we'll consider it explained in full and resolved here.

Re: Fact Checker (update: Ep.51)
Thanks a lot. I thought it was pronounced Ro-ze just like Black said.
But I guess only Japanese pronounce it that way.

Since the sibs are taking extra long, could this at least be updated quicker?

I guess this needs to be posted again:ssj_duelist wrote:Since the sibs are taking extra long, could this at least be updated quicker?
Kanzenshuu has no relationship with or influence on fansubbers. Please remember that this thread is not actually a part of the main website, and is something done in yet another category of spare time from the overall spare time we have (separate from the main website's work, which ITSELF is all something we do in our spare time!). We're not beholden to any kind of schedule. While this material may later be incorporated into the main website, right now Herms & co. type things out and post them when they have the time and energy. It's a convenience done in spare time, so thank you in advance for recognizing that.

In the meantime, if there are any specific lines you'd like to see addressed, feel free to leave them here.

Re: Fact Checker (update: Ep.51)
In episode 16 I was wondering if I could have some clarification.
The whole Krillin wondering whether he made the right choice in giving up martial arts. People seem to suggest that he affirms he made the correct choice retiring. But I still got the impression that he's training again.
His whole reaction to the situation was positive "I'll do it". Saying he'll do it doesn't make sense as in "I'll give up martial arts now" since he's already been retired.... The only way "I'll do it" makes sense is if he resumes training.

You might want to know that the flower is pronounced in German like Black pronounces it.sophitia wrote:Thanks a lot. I thought it was pronounced Ro-ze just like Black said.
But I guess only Japanese pronounce it that way.

Re: Fact Checker (update: Ep.51)
Furthermore, I don't think the question was specific enough in the first place. Rose and Rosé are different words in French, and Rosé is pronounced just as it is in DBS. (See links for audio clips.) Rose=pink, rosé=light pink, and vin rosé is named for its color.Cetra wrote:You might want to know that the flower is pronounced in German like Black pronounces it.sophitia wrote:Thanks a lot. I'm a bit late to the party but I feel the need to clear something up.sophitia wrote:Thanks a lot. I thought it was pronounced Ro-ze just like Black said.

"Rose" does indeed mean "pink" in French.
"Rosé" (more or less pronounced "ro-ze") is what we call pink wine in France. Since Super Saiyajin Rosé is a pun on that alcoholic beverage, that's how it should be pronounced, even in foreign dubs.
Hope that helps.
