Surprised nobody's grabbed the preview image yet.
I'd do it if I knew how.

Weirdly, it's not up yet. I guess it's one of those weeks.

Remind me at some point next week and I'll show you how to grab the images. Girlfriend's visiting at the moment, so don't have the time to type up a tutorial right now.

One of those weeks where the schedule is so bad we can't even have a preview image because the episode is still very unfinished?? I hope that's not the case!!

I don't think that's what causes things like this to happen, all you need is one screen shot and there will be plenty of finished frames they can use from 101 regardless of if there are issues with that episode's production just due to Manabe having been working on it for multiple weeks. Not to mention they've used unfinished stuff before for preview images. They probably just upload a shot whenever they get the chance since all that matters is that it's up there before the newest episode airs, so the person in charge of that might just be busy with other stuff or something.

I'd like to know too, please! I've tried poking around in the code for the website but I can't figure out where they keep the preview images. They don't seem to be embedded like a normal picture.

They're probably just dragging their feet putting it up. Toei does that with the preview pics sometimes. Or maybe it's a pic of SSB Caulifla and they're holding off for the surprise.

I too absolutely love the Goku and Jiren staredown shot. That shot looks awesome. They're really hyping up this fight, I can't wait for it to happen. It probably won't happen for several episodes too.

Seems that it will be a well directed episode!

They did this style of shot an awful lot during the Goku vs Freeza fight if I'm remembering correctly. Glad to see it make a return, as I feel like it's a really good way to end an episode, in comparison to just having it end on a view of the fighting arena.

Harmony cel are one of my favorite things. So I am really happy with that shot.

It's some nice Tsuji artwork too, I wonder how heavy she'll be on the episode.

Other than some unfortunate Yashima jank that only really became an issue for me in the second half that was actually better than I expected. Who did the Kale vs SSJ2 Goku scene? That was great, it's just a shame that Yashima's corrections were on it.

NEP looks really polished.

Ajay said that Atsushi Nikaido was the only KA with yashima so that's probably him

Episode 100

Animation Supervisor
Yoshitaka Yashima

Key Animators
Yoshitaka Yashima
Atsushi Nikaido

2nd Key Animators
Miyuki Yokoyama
Akihiro Ota
Yong-ce Tu
Shunsuke Okubo
TAP

-

A lot more uncorrected Yashima than we've seen in a long, long time. Be interested to see the reaction across general forums to the episode's visuals, though I imagine the absurd narrative content will overshadow it.

Fairly competent on the whole as far as a near solo episode in Super goes, which is to say that it's pretty lacklustre, but whatever. I liked Nikaido's part quite a lot; looking forward to seeing that in higher quality.

Next week's where my real excitement is at. It's looking very strong! Ken Otsuka tweeted that he's taking part.

I actually found Goku vs Caulifla to be extremely poor.
Sloppy episode overall.

Next Week should be a step up.

Another decent episode. And actually a bit better than I thought considering this Yashima doing his thing on his own as usual. The fight between Goku and Caulifla looked alright and LSSJ Kale going full "HULK SMASH" on SSJ2 Goku was pretty darn cool looking. Some rough art in there but nothing too jarring. Well, at least in the second half of the episode.

It was intense and eventful. Animation was decent, it was mostly Yashima with one KA working so cannot really complain much. NEP has some really solid drawings and animation, however it is Manabe so I expect that from him now. Also Otsuka will be doing some KA next week :)

Oh yeah, there was no bank this week, was there?
If I'm not mistaken Otsuka says his bit is short in the upcoming episode. Hopefully he shows up again not long after!

It's a shame that Nikaido was the only good action animator on hand for this episode. I'd have loved for the second half to have had more good cuts. Karasawa had some good ideas for his storyboard (even if he did include a lot of references to Yama'uchi's Movie #8), but I wish he had reused Tate's take on the transformation.
