Chouzetsu adynamic got cut shorter this week
Guessing that means that the move to second spot means Limit Break X Survivor will be too

Also this episode supports my theory that they only reanimated scenes they don't have remastered to HD
Since scenes from history of trunks and Dragon Ball have been redone but they still use old Z footage that was remastered for Kai

All we've heard are laughs, but Cell sounds a lot more like Clarke than any other stand in
Think they're finally using Mills?

Goku was just singing Cha La Head Cha La. What even is life now.

"Cha-La Head cha-la"
Did was this line in the Japanese version?

I'm not even mad, I just want an English-sung version of the song soon that isn't Engrish now that they acknowledge it.

What about the redone scenes with Trunks, Gohan and Bulma finding another Time Machine? Wasn't these scenes on Kai? Also it's funny cause it's on B/W probably for people not be confused with Trunks sudden hair changeAzuraRacon wrote:Also this episode supports my theory that they only reanimated scenes they don't have remastered to HD

That was funny, though I think it would suit better to TFS do that kind sh*t instead of FUNImation.mint0h wrote:>Goku started singing "Cha la head cha la" when he got on Nimbus.

Oh wow I just assumed the Cha La Head Cha La thing was from the sub
That's really surprising considering no release by funimation has ever had that song proper on an English language track
Barring BoG but even that was engrish and the remake
Unless the Blurays fixed that?

It just occurred to me that Goku seems to have been referring to Roshi as “old man” fairly frequently, just like the Japanese version. That seems like something worth giving them props for.
Also, the end credits said that Chris Ayres voiced Freeza here. That’s nice.

Agreed. After the Toei subs using "Master Roshi" for any instance of a character referring to him across the board, ignoring any of the individual characters' nicknames for him, I actually got pretty excited to hear Goku call him "old timer" and "old man" in the dub.WittyUsername wrote:It just occurred to me that Goku seems to have been referring to Roshi as “old man” fairly frequently, just like the Japanese version. On an unrelated note, I should clarify that my above post about Goku's random Cha La wasn't me being mad. I was just so taken aback in that moment that I just didn't know what to make of it, haha. I THINK I like it, but I still don't know. It was so weird and out of left field... but it's fucking Cha La.

More Interesting is definitely NOT a fact. More Complex yeah that has more basisKataphrut wrote:Well to be fair, I was only joking when I said teen Goten is a douchey pretty boy. Tambourine was voiced by Dameon Clarke (not Dartanian Nickelback this time), so I'd assume he did it. I didn't catch the full list.AzuraRacon wrote:Did they give a name for Cell?WittyUsername wrote:It just occurred to me that Goku seems to have been referring to Roshi as “old man” fairly frequently, just like the Japanese version. The Dragon Boxes put the song back into the mix of the English dub, if I'm not mistaken. Every other release uses an instrumental track, I think done by Faulconer.AzuraRacon wrote:Oh wow I just assumed the Cha La Head Cha La thing was from the sub

Wait, those weren't from Kai? It's been a bit since I've seen those scenes, so I don't remember. Maybe they wanted to reanimate the scenes from different angles? I mean, they were reanimating History of Trunks to propagate the lie that Future Trunks has always had blue hair anyways, so they probably thought to reanimate other scenes too for animation continuity sake, especially when they animated a new scene to show that Trunks gave Bulma the other Time Machine that Cell took back in time during the Androids Arc.Noah wrote:What about the redone scenes with Trunks, Gohan and Bulma finding another Time Machine? Only dubs that matter are DB, Kai, & Super. Nothing else.

I have been saying that for a while now. We haven't seen Sabat voice any new DB characters for a while now.shadd21 wrote:I know most people would hate the idea of Sabat adding another DB character to his resume, but his All Might/Alex Armstrong voice would totally fit Toppo.

Strange
Maybe they used old tapes then because I cannot imagine they got him in for a few chuckles in a weekly dub when they couldn't get him in for Cell's lines in Final Chapters which they had years to get done

Wait a sec
It just occurred to me
Clarke would have been brought on to record as Paragus for the Broly trailer
It's not outside the realm of possibility they got him to record snickering for Tambourine and Cell at the same time
Same for Ayers
