Good that should consolidate the viewership. But we had been saying for awhile that the 8pm premiere would likely go soon.
Yeah it's a smart move just in time for the Champa arc.

Just Like Dragon Ball Kai (1-98) was doing when it was still airing! Smart Move, now watch the ratings climb (and me fall asleep).

Honestly, it's kind of stupid since that 8:30 slot was getting a lot of viewers and was only beating by Family Guy. But I guess they want more people to watch the 11:30pm slot.

Goku barely took a backseat in the Buu saga, at best he took a leisurely stroll round back while everyone else cried for him to come back.

Since Super is now opening the Toonami block again, I think they're trying to make the Toonami block start as strong as possible especially now the retellings are almost over, I think it's a pretty smart move personally.

Well what I'm thinking is that the early showing is over performaning while the later show is underperforming. They're obligated to their advertisers to bring in a certain number of viewers so if the promise was 1mill plus each week they need to take step to getting their contracts fulfilled. So I can't say if it's smart or not without knowing what their advertising contracts are but if I had to guess, based on this move I'd say one block is underperforming and one is over performing. Also looks like Super brings in a young demo than Kai. Which depending on the advertisers they may also be unhappy about.

Yikes those comments are pretty bad, Facebook for ya I guess.

Interesting now Super starts at 11. I'm glad this was announced now and not next week I'd hate for people to tune in for the Champa arc at 11.30 and miss it.

Also, Super will keep its primetime premiere before Tonnami but instead of being at 8, it'll be at 8:30 with a rerun of the previous week's episode at 8pm

The rating that Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders got for its premier it was bums me out the most.

And given the retelling of BOG and ROF have officially ended, it will be interesting to see how the ratings will change with the new content.

Actually, if I had to bet I would think its over performing with the younger demographic, but under performing with the older demographics. I would explain adding more time to the prime time slot as well as moving Super earlier in the evening.

I was just saying that the ratings for Toonami as a whole that night were horrendous and Super is still underperforming at 11 despite being the block's highest rated show. Remember, Kai did much better than this and at a later timeslot too. The block as a whole is really on thin ice because Dragon Ball Super is really the only acquisition of theirs that is proving to be worthwhile due to it's multiple timeslots but all of those could be doing better too

Yeah, JoJo SC's premiere is probably the lowest rated premiere on the block yet next to Lupin and at 12am, that is awful. I feel like the One Piece removal and the April Fools Day prank really turned people away from Toonami

I couldn't agree more that April Fools Day prank was the dumbest thing ever. Cutting One Piece also wasn't too smart. If they would of moved it up in the night and made it so that it skipped to the War Arc i think one piece could of finally taken off. As it is now don't be surprised if Toonami gets the axe again, these ratings are horrendous and i don't care how people try to say oh they are fine because they are not. Super should easily be pulling in 2mil but it cant even pull in 1mil really?? And on some weeks Kai beats it man i hope it can survive until the Black Arc because that might just be the kick Toonami needs but thats still 20+ episodes away

If all their shows keep going downhill then I don't think they'll reach an extra 20 weeks.

I think the main issue is that Toonami is showing content that everyone has seen years ago and to make things worse, it's only on Saturday night when most people are doing other things so even if their content was completely new, it would be hard to pull in the viewers.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

Dragon Ball in general went up, even the reruns around 8:00, although Super didn't break a million. Maybe next week.

JoJo makes me sad, but at least it's up from last week.

Goku barely took a backseat in the Buu saga, at best he took a leisurely stroll round back while everyone else cried for him to come back.
