3 episodes of Super yet only one new episode...seems a waste... why not push Jack out the block completely and have two new DBS episodes at 8 and 8.30 and then repeated again in the Toonami block at 11 and 11.30pm.

It is worth keeping in mind that cable and satellite mindshare continues to be eroded by the sheer convenience of internet VOD services, and that trend is unlikely to reverse any time soon.

...Though that being said, Toonami's last few acquisitions have been a bit questionable in terms of mainstream appeal (most recently Lupin III Part 4, and the Gundam shows in the past), so that's not a catch-all excuse for the recent under-performing.

About the same as last weak, which isn't too bad but down from last year. And the drop off between Kai and JoJo is disgusting. Although it isn't as bad if you look at the 18-49 slot. Also, that return of Super at 8:00pm is impressive, but why is there such a big jump between Rick & Morty from 9 to 9:30?

Goku barely took a backseat in the Buu saga, at best he took a leisurely stroll round back while everyone else cried for him to come back.

A lot of this is just randomness honestly. One set of data cant really be explained as anything more than chance.

Now if we go back and every week or most weeks are like that...there is something.

The rating are obviously declining let's not surgar coat, the most obvious reason why is Super it carries the whole block if it does bad it will have a domino effect on the ratings as a whole.

By the looks of this, Toonami might just get canceled again.

Family Guy reruns that’s have been available for years on virtually every streaming service imaginable says otherwise. Just because a segment of tv or a particular show is failing doesn’t mean all TV is. Samurai Jack also disproves this.

Actually the opposite could be true. Maybe Samurai Jack and Family Guy are the only popular shows on Toonami, people just don't care about TV otherwise. Also, shows like JJBA is available for legal streaming on Crunchyroll where you can binge watch the entire season instead of waiting a week for one episode. Binge watching >>> TV
Toyotarō: … I get the feeling I’ve just heard something amazing (laughs). Lord Beerus and Whis turn up in Dragon Ball Super, and have become an unsurpassable wall for Goku and the gang. What do the two of them mean to you?

Toriyama: Well… First off, right now I don’t have any plans for Goku and Vegeta to surpass Beerus and Whis.

Family Guy has been available for YEARS, MULTIPLE SEASONS, available to binge watch ANYTIME. Yet it CONSISTENTLY is the highest rated show over and over again, week after week, month after month, year after year.

Again, because a show you like is not popular does not signal TV as a whole is dead. It is certainly on it's way out. There is no argument there. But the reasoning people are using is that a widely available streamed show is going to do poorly in TV ratings. Family Guy proves this is NOT true and the reality is the show just might not be that popular.

We have about 12 weeks (not counting delays) till the English Dub hits the future Trunks saga. I can understand them taking their sweet time but it seems [AS] tries to make this harder. Without their delays the 12 weeks would have been cut in half.

Re: Dragon Ball Super USA Adult Swim and Toonami Ratings

Airing two new episodes a week of Super and catching up a bit to the Japanese release makes sense. Funimation does simuldubs now. The fact that the Super dub is so behind Japan seems like it should be a thing of the past.

I think that would get fans more excited and maybe have more people tune in. But for now most fans are just watching the show on Crunchyroll or other streaming sites and these episodes feel like old news.
