SSRage is still unknown; what's your headcanon?

They visually went out of their way, twice, to show Trunks bulk up into his Ultra Super Saiyan 2 form or Ascended Super Saiyan whatever you wanna call it.



Just encase anyone here thinks they simply zoomed in in that shot, they didn't. Look at his hair in the gif, it changes to that same spiky hairstyle that he has in that form.

If that's not obvious enough look at 0.14 of this clip because he does the same thing.

After he bulks up then this blue God Ki looking thing shows up and he shrinks back down. That's the real mystery.

But it's no coincidence that this Ultra Super Saiyan 2 form did appear several episodes before. It definitely has something to do with this rage form, 100%.

Vegeta's "is he..." comment makes me think that he thought Trunks was going SSGSS but as we know SSGSS is all about tranquilly and calmness opposite of Rage so instead we got this weird deformed mix of SSGSS and SS but the fact his hair got spikier suggests to me it was drawing more from the SS side and not the God and hence why we only get a bit of the blue in the aura.
