Last chapter had 17 eliminations and 4 universes gone . That made the difference. I’m ok with that .

I complained a lot about the anime not doing enough with all these characters and rushing things but this is just insane, we're down to the last 11 yet we saw little to nothing from the other 69 fighters. The manga was on fire ever since it started Champa's tournament but once this tournament began everything has seemingly fallen apart.

It's really not that bad, sentsu. I do agree that toyotaro was generally on good terms with the main stream fanbase until chapter 35 with hit, then it kinda soured.

My point is, let's wait until the arc ends to really see if this TOURNMENT is as bad as you think. I do agree toyotaro kinda let us down by wasting some interesting characters, but you got give credit where it's due. He made the character he focused on better in the manga then in the anime (though to the detriment of other characters). The art was good, and logistic make sense. I do wish we got an chapter like 36 to flesh out some other universes but it's whatever. And to say we saw little to nothing from 69 fighters is being dishonest. We saw:

...uh Damon and gamisarus, piccolo wasn't too shabby either...
Okay you weren't far off...but I just don't think this ToP is so bad as people make it out to be.

The final part has the potential to be great as he's drawn great fights in the past but everything before that is already set and unfortunately didn't live up to what the anime did (which itself wasn't anything to write home about). Goku's final fight with Jiren up till he teamed up with Freeza will be hard to top but that doesn't mean it can't be great on its own. Vegeta's fight with Toppo in the anime was pretty short so he can probably do something better there, same goes for Dyspo.

Yeap , he put to many eliminations just with frost and kale, almost half of the eliminated participants.
I was expecting more rings out from u11... but as far as the pace i am ok , 10 chapters should be ok for a 50 min tournament, and he’s focusing just in the characters that he introduced before the tournament, u11, u6 ... and u7 .

Watch what you say, because the ToP in the manga is far better then the anime according to my thought processes and calculations. Does it SOLO the anime? Heck no, as you said side character treatment the anime by in large STOMPED the manga in. But to base your liking on one criteria of "side character treatment" is fine. Don't think everybody goes by that only criteria, though.

It may be one criteria but it's not a small one as the majority of fighters were thrown out early. The whole concept of the tournament was a massive 80 fighter battle royal but we didn't get that here. The anime's treatment of it was very flawed but at least they delivered on what they said they would.
