It was inevitable considering he's the main character.

Though I really hope someone takes that from him.
I want Freeza due to him being my favorite character. But, I still love Goku as well!

I’ve said this last week, but I’m really hoping U7 will start seeing some major losses. As much as I enjoyed episode 118, it was yet another episode where the main characters dominated the tournament. If there’s going to be tension for Goku and the others moving forward, they’re going to need to start experiencing some losses.

I think judging MVP by eliminations is a joke, before and now.

Then, how you decide if someone is the MVP of the TOP?

18 is probably going to lose next week at least.

I imagine almost everyone else will last until the end, besides Piccolo. But Piccolo better till have a moment of glory on his own before going down.

Maybe, he will get his moment soon.

That awkward moment when you realise one universe has singlehandedly eliminated more than half the competition in a tournament. I'm honestly not surprised. Universe 7 are the main characters and were going to get the most glory.

I doubt 17 will last to the end either. The only people I see really lasting to the end are Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, and Gohan, with Goku and Frieza being my guesses as to the last two.

It was mentioned by the Grand Priest this past episode.

Goku barely took a backseat in the Buu saga, at best he took a leisurely stroll round back while everyone else cried for him to come back.

The final 5 will most likely be the 3 saiyans, freeza and 17

17 will fight the u3 megazord
gohan vs dyspo
vegeta vs toppo
goku vs jiren

freeza will lurk and make his move at the very end. probably death beams goku right after/if he beats jiren

Even if he does, Frieza has just about locked himself out of any shot at being the "best fighter." Unless he eliminates half the remaining fighters he can't catch up in eliminations and the one support role he played was done where nobody could see it so it basically doesn't count.

While that is true we don't know how the sdb are awarded. if freeza is the last one standing from u7 at the end and they win, he has a shot to get them until then he can try to eliminate fodder and avoid elimination

I think 18 will be next, then we'll get a team up episode with Piccolo and 17. Then either of them or both will go, and I could realistically see the last 10 minutes of the tournament being Goku, Gohan, Frieza, and Vegeta against Dyspo, Toppo, and Jiren

Fat chance, they will kick everyone off untill jiren left.

Hell, maybe they will survive and kick jiren too leaving u7 with 6 survivors.
