Do you think "God" has different meaning in the Dragon Ball universe? What I mean is that when one typically thinks of a Godly character we imagine someone that has awesome power and the inability to be killed but in Dragon Ball we see throughout that characters with God status are able to be wounded or killed.
For example. Despite Goku achieving power that rivals the God's, his body is still mortal as they get and is vulnerable to being pierced by Sorbat's beam gun or Vegeta being pierced by Black's ki-sword.
Is "God" different in the DB universe?

Being a god within the context of Dragon Ball is nothing more than a job, with the possible exception being Zen'o.

Kami was considered the God of Earth, and he's just a frail old Namek.
