About Hit's plan

Post by TheSaiyanGod » Sun Oct 15, 2017 11:40 am

Just because Hitto has managed to hit Jiren (yes, it's a great feat, undeniable), some people are talking as if Hitto would be able to do the same with any warrior (trap in that cage of time).

We have to consider the whole situation in which the killer was involved.
Hitto spent almost the entire fight having to get Jiren's blows to understand his fighting pattern, then took advantage of being inside the debris (Jiren could not see him) and attacked from there with an invisible Ki sphere that crossed these stones, thus serving as a distraction for the main act.

In addition, Jiren tried to stop this attack with his hand, which opened his guard enough for Hitto to be able to use Time Skip without the Pride Trooper perceiving and attacking his chest (Jiren did not know about Hitto's goal and so did not protect himself, only counterattacked the moment he noticed Hit's approach).

You can see that it took a lot of factors for this technique to work. Besides, it's not as if all the warriors had the same reaction to the attack. Another fighter could have reacted in a way that would prevent Hitto from effectively executing the technique, which could fail

This seems like an appropriate comment/conversation for the respective episode discussion thread where this material happens.

Additionally, as a little FYI to help out some in your fandom travels, there's no need to write the character's name out as "Hitto"; it's a clear play on him being a "hitman" (assassin), and the elongated-consonant sound (the small ッ in ヒット) is generally used to representative a vowel-less ending from the source language (see also: カカロット kakarotto). Unless you're adding extra vowels into all of your transliterations (which would be a little weird), there's nothing special about Hit's name to warrant it here.
