Do you expect a lot of slice of life fillers again after the TOP ends?

Post by precita » Tue Oct 17, 2017 5:31 pm

The TOP is basically almost 20-30 eps of continuous fighting. We've never had an arc in Super at least with this much fighting in a row without breaks.

Given the training and/or slice of life fillers we got both after the Zamasu arc ended, and after the exhibition matches ended, do you expect another 10 or so eps like that? I think it would be good to "unwind" again with breather episodes of peace before jumping into the next arc.

I'm not even sure if DBS will last a lot after this saga.

Of course it will there is no indication the show is ending soon.

But to answer the original question yes I expect there will be some slice of life filler episodes to give us a breather

I don't know about a lot but there are bound to be some. A big arc needs breathing room at the end so the audience has a chance to recover. If it's constant action, drama and dread, fatigue starts to set in and interest wanes.

Considering how long this arc will be (20+ Episodes), I'm expecting at least 15 cooldown/slice of life episodes.

I hope so because I miss slice of life filler. Though I guess it's subjective because it's entirely possible said filler wouldn't appeal to me anyway.

I'd like a Santa Claus or New Years episode though, I think.

I expect an epilogue mini-saga of sorts immediately following the TOP, possibly an episode with Goten, Trunks and Marron on Android 17's island.

It all depends on what exactly happens in the climax though. Will we see some of the characters get brought back from erasure? Might there be some lead-in to the next arc? In a way there was from the Future Trunks saga, with Goku getting Future Zeno and bringing him to Present Zeno so the two can be friends. Having Frieza become a recurring character might be set up.

Oh god yes and not or I want both a Christmas and New Years episode :-) (and also Trunks, Goten, and Marron’s Island Adventures)

Other slice of life episodes I want

* Meeting Android 17’s Family (you cannot tell me he has a family and not let me meet them)

* Vegeta and Bra (Or Piccolo with Pan and Vegeta with Bra that would be funny)

The slice of life episodes might be my favourite part of the show (and I like the show a lot), so I hope we get a bunch of them to wind things down for a bit. Trunks, Goten and Marron on the island and meeting 17's family are very necessary.

I find it funny in retrospect people were complaining about all the filler or training episodes prior to the start of the TOP, saying, "When is the tournament going to start already?" and now people realized having most of those filler episodes was a good thing. Especially now that we know how long the TOP is going on for.

Honestly, I'd would like to learn more about universes 1, 5, 8 and 12 since they're not in the tournament... :/ but that could just be wishful thinking.

I basically want them to go on a visiting tour (or a Grand Tour teehee) of all the other universes. Obviously you've got to have Universe 6 and Sadala; hell, you could get a whole arc out of that alone. But the other ones would be worth a one or two-parter. We can have an equivalent to the Hit mini-arc where Goku goes to Universe 11 to lure Jiren into a rematch, except he does it here by disguising himself as a super-villain and terrorising a city.

Ooh, he could borrow Gohan's Saiyaman costume to do it! imagine Nozawa doing Goku as Great Saiyaman! Imagine SCHEMMEL doing that! I've made myself excited now.

I think so, tho I'm not a fan of SoL DBS, they're not good with it compared to other shows like Gintama and the seasonal shows.

SOL episodes can be amazing. I'm still waiting for the Driving Episode 2.0. I swear though, if they'll substitute Piccolo with Vegeta my bitterness will go through the roof!

God, I hope so. Those are the only things I trust DBS to do well.
