The legend is well mentioned in the film, Freza has just confirmed it. A scientist woman talks about the legend to King Vegeta which does not please him and decides to send Broly on an abandoned planet, without warning Paragus. Broly's power when he's calm is too low, but once he's boasting his power goes up and the scouters explode. King Vegeta sends Broly to a planet where there is little chance of survival, so Broly is sentenced to death but in a different way from the old film. No mention of Yamoshi, but there will be an allusion to the SSJGod. We do not see Beerus ordering Freezer to destroy planet Vegeta. Broly attacked his father at the beginning, he is violent, he is a little savage. There's no love relation between Broly and Paragus, Paragus only sees Broly as his best weapon.

his death that cause Broly to go over the edge and into super saiyan, especially when it was directly compared to how goku got the form by seeing someone close to him die according to some spoilers earlier in the page. Paragus seemed like he may have initially cared to be upset his son was sent off in the first place. If he didnt care what would be his problem? And if Broly had no love for his Father, his death wouldnt have turned him super saiyan... odd

Oh I was under the assumption that they were created around the same time as Superman but were Comicbook characters so it appears not interesting.

Paragus created the controller/collar thing because Broly can't control himself. Freezer asks Paragus what happened to Broly's tail, Paragus said he was too violent when he transformed into an Oozaru so he cuts off Broly's tail. And they also say this in the movie, Broly and Paragus are too far and weakened. And Broly is "insignificant" in the sense that he never used his true potential so he went unnoticed by Whis etc...

Didn't some of the promotional pamphlets show a shadow of Broly clearly with a tail and his Rage form was stated as an Oozaru transformation? I think you could even see a tail around his waist in the character sheets so this is weird

Freezer also explains his wish, he said that it was useless to wish to become immortal if he is not the strongest (or something like that), so he wanted to become taller in his final form by 5cm, it's a reference to the "5min in Namek".

Nope, there was no Broly with a tail in promos or sheets. The only Oozaru/Rage related things said came from the yesterday's screenings

By in the sheets i meant around his waist under hist cloth, it looked like a wrapped tail, also there is this thing

Broly does love his dad because that's the only person he had with him, that's why even though he knows his father treats him like an object, he still is his dad after all, so he is loyal and attached to him. When Paragus sees Vegeta he thinks of King Vegeta and starts to get angry and this makes Broly angry.
