Toriyama redesign of Broly in his base form is fantastic.
Really diggin the Saiyan armour.
Also... the crotch bulge in his LSSJ form design art is HUGE.

Here's a side-by-side comparison between old and new:

The new Broly design really reins in the size of his upper body bulk.

It's about time we got this in higher quality. Looks pretty damn good.ShaggyBlanco wrote:
So there's his base form from the poster, a "restrained" berserker state from the figure photos (notice the collar), and then the full transformation? That'd be my guess.
Re: Official On-Going Dragon Ball Super Movie Thread: "Broly"
I like how the base form in overall feel, because it looks more imposing than the original base form of Broly. There's some things I don't like. I don't care for the armor particularly, nor the tight pants, and the hair looks a bit too SSJ4-ish.
The Legendary SSJ form though, wow. The color scheme really pops out, and the scars add to making him look absolutely SAVAGE. Just a spetacular redesign that took what was good in the original and added to it.
I have some nitpicks, but I think they knocked the designs out of the park overall, especially the transformation.

The new Broly design has some much better body proportions.BlueBasilisk wrote:Here's a side-by-side comparison between old and new:

The scars seem kind of cliché, especially since Bardock already had them.

Where the hell is the tail?!
I called it that Gogeta, Bardock, and something Broly related would be in the movie before it was even announced that it was a Broly movie.

I gotta say that I much prefer the new design of base Broly over the older one. And maybe it's just me but does Broly seem less muscular in his legendary form compared to the older version?

Even so, his proportions are indeed much better, particularly his arms and hands. He looks Max Power Roshi big with legs that grew proportionally.
Re: Official On-Going Dragon Ball Super Movie Thread: "Broly"
That's likely is not Broly's base form. That probably a form that's on par with his restrained super form. I noticed that the figure's eyes and hair are different than the one we saw in the poster.CriticalThinker wrote:I gotta say that I much prefer the new design of base Broly over the older one. Re: Official On-Going Dragon Ball Super Movie Thread: "Broly"
Lol this is exactly the comment I made on another forum. I think it is worth noting that the poster had a non-spiked hair broly with Black eyes while this and the teaser trailer showcased very spiky hair with yellow eyes. Interesting.BlueBasilisk wrote:Design looks really cool. I wonder if that is base form though? He doesn't have yellow eyes in the poster and his hair isn't that spiky.ShaggyBlanco wrote:

Both base and transformed Broly look amazing! Also, is it confirmed that the Broly without the yellow eyes in the poster is in fact Broly? Due to differences, perhaps the Saiyan in the poster is Paragus/some other Saiyan.
In addition, would Broly's form be called SS Berserk or Legendary SS?

Well even if it's not his base form I'm liking the looks of it so far. Man if they manage to give Broly a better backstory along side his new design I might finally care about him.Omniboy wrote:That's likely is not Broly's base form. He looks awful lol.
That outfit doesn't fit him at all. Those tight pants...please.
At least his body in SSJ/LSSJ still resemble Broly.
Don't like his base form at all tho. Looks like some boring game exclusive trash like Shallot.
