Takahashi drew more DB fan art. This time, he drew SS Goku digitally. I think the drawings speak for themselves.

In light of the new character designs, I think Takahashi's style will mesh seamlessly with the character designs of the new film, since they are strikingly similar.
EDIT: Takahashi also drew a drawing of base Goku a little back when. Also really like them. If his approach in these drawings is the same one his taking in the film, I think he'll fit in perfectly.

His Gokuu seems to be drawn pretty closely to the new Shintani model. I guess this gives us an idea of what his cuts will look like for the film. I wish he would go nuttier but if this means he'll just focus on the actual movement like he did on Episode #13 then I much prefer that than just drawing on model.

The second image isn’t a Buu saga design. Its more likely that he’ll go with tha version as its closest to the model sheets. Don’t get your hopes up.
I called it that Gogeta, Bardock, and something Broly related would be in the movie before it was even announced that it was a Broly movie.

What are peoples thoughts on the designs now?
I think they look great. They haven't changed a great deal from what I see.
I guess the animation will show how they move and fight in a new way.

As for the bang thing: it wasn't that uncommon with the old sheets to leave it out. Rosé was just a repurposed Goku sheet, but that was always drawn right. Maybe there's a note about it on the expression sheets.

I am so used to seeing Blue in the modern Yamamuro lego hair that these new Blue designs look a bit jarring to me.
I'm really curious to see how the form will look in motion and how they'll handle auras.

Looks real good!
Vegeta looks much better with this darker suit. Contrast makes a world of difference.

That's a good point I do remember that! Certainly hoping that's the case!

Hopefully it's like his RF gi when he turns aura on the colour of the outfit changes accordingly. (I'm glad they did that with SSGSS.E)
