I'm not sure if any official source has disclosed if he does or doesn't.

Just Toriyama so far. However that might be different for his Super Dragon Ball Heroes manga.

Nagayama Yoshitaka does the SDBH manga, not Toyotarou. Toyotarou did the DBH Victory Mission manga which ended with the serialization of the DBS manga.

Toyotarou as far as we know does not have any assistants to help him draw landscapes, backgrounds, etc. Only Toriyama to check his storyboard. That would be a very valuable asset to him though, in that he could focus on the more finer details of the plot while not having to worry about drawing or shading in the scenery.

Thing is, assistants get paid from the manga artist's own pocket and since Toyotaro is likely getting a smaller cut of the income than is usual (had to be split between him and Toriyama) he might not want to hire any.

V-Jump/Shueisha should really invest in their current mangaka, especially veterans like Toyotarou. Mangaka like him spend many hours drawing and conceptualizing, it's really tiresome work and drains people. Having an assistant who can do backgrounds would be extremely beneficial to their work-life balance.

Though I would honestly prefer him having assistants over Toriyama checking over his scripts.

A very misleading one to make, so be careful. SDBH is the sequel to DBH with original story arcs (Demon Realm, Prison Planet, Demigra, Mechikabura) unlike its predecessor. DBH Victory Mission (Toyotarou) follows the adventures of someone playing the DBH game while SDBH (Nagayama) follows the adventures of actual characters within the game.
