Naruto fans tend to think it's something amazing and in fact it is quite good, but it rips off DBZ so much that you can't call it completely original.

Somewhere further back in this thread someone posted a pick of the fighting poses that Goku and Vegeta took when they first prepared to fight, and put them side by side with Naruto and Sasuke doing the exact same poses in official anime screenshots with the caption "Narutards still think this shit's original".

You have to admit though, they look real enough to be in the anime at least.

To be fair though, I actually like Naruto. Good action, good Narutive (lol!) and interesting characters. Also, it's a fighting manganime. Kinda hard not to have similarities among things within the same genre. This is why Death Battle exists.

I think the biggest problem is that due to the "same genre similarities" problem and the rising popularity of Naruto at the time, a lot of DBZ fans probably thought "OMGZ IT"S COPYIN MAH DEEBEEZEE!!!1!1!

Of course I could be wrong but it's a good guess.
